Our hearts cannot direct our steps. Our hearts cannot teach us what is right. If we rely on our hearts we will not be able to do what is good. Our heart, on it own is evil. It cannot direct our steps in the right direction. We should not depend on our hearts because it will only teach us what is evil. The evil that men are doing comes from their hearts. The heart of man is desperately wicked. There is no good thing that can be gotten from it. So, let us not depend on our hearts, let us depend on God.

Only God can lead us well. It's only the power of God through the Word of God that can direct our paths in the right direction. We cannot do good on our own, we need the power of God. This is why we should always rely on God. We should depend on God to show us the right things to do.

The religion in which the Holy Spirit does not operate cannot change men. Wherever there is no presence of the Holy Spirit, there will not be any tendency for doing good. Whenever you see people over goodness, who are not those who believe in the Holy Spirit, they are doing so for what they will gain. Any religion where the Holy Spirit is not operational cannot transform men from evil works.
