The teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ is that there should be love among couples. There should not be violence. We should live in harmony and love one another. The husband is admonished to love his wife while the wife is advised to submit to her husband.

In a christian home, there should be love. We are to live with one another as Christ had loved the church. The church is the bride of Christ and Christ does not handle us who are members of his church with violence. We should therefore not be violent towards one another. We are to imbibe the love of Christ and uphold the same for one another.

Domestic violence comes from the devil. It is the devil which causes people to hate one another. The children of God should not allow the devil to rule their hearts. They should avoid strife and contention in their homes. Love must be the foundation of our homes.
