A Village Electrical Energy Supply, Proof Of Brain Photo Contest
Hello friends in the #ecency and #proofofbrain communities. It's my pleasure to partake in this week's #pob photo contest.
The picture in my post is that of electric power supply cables. Through this installation, electric energy is distributed in our community. The pictures were taken in a village in the city of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. I take it because it is the way electric energy is supplied in our locality.
Energy is the ability to do work.
There are different forms of energy. One of them is electrical energy. Electrical energy is used for several purposes. Virtually all of our household and office activities can be done by electrical energy. Through electrical energy, activities and chores are made easy.
Electrical energy comes from the flow of electric charges. This flow of charges constitutes what we call electric current. When charges are static, current won't flow. In such circumstances, the charge will not produce energy for useful work.
Electrical energy is generated in our country centrally through dams. This type of electricity is known as hydropower electricity. When this electricity is generated, it is collected into the national grid and then distributed all through the country.
The distribution of electricity is done by installation of transformers and running cables all through various streets to take the electric power to all the corners of the nation. From these cables, each household connects the electricity to its house.
Electrical energy helps us to power electrical appliances in our homes. It provides lighting and powers machines and office equipment.
