Overcoming Anxiety And Doubt. My Review

avatar

We should learn to listen to the word of God and obey whatever the Lord tells us. We cannot overcome our doubts and anxieties without hearing the word of God. The doubts are coming to us from all the ugly situations in the world. They various problems that are disturbing the people on earth are the causes of their anxieties and their worries. We are advised by the word of God that we should cast all our cares on God. That means that we should not worry by ourselves. We should allow God to do the worrying for us. We should not be overwhelmed with anxiety. There is no good in being anxious.

Matthew 6:30-32 (KJV) Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

The Lord Jesus Christ told us that the birds of the air do not farm yet they are well fed. Why are we then worrying? The same God who feeds the sparrows is the same God who will feed us all. What about the sparrows? They cannot spin or weave yet they are beautifully clothed. Don't you see how beautifully the sparrows are? Are you not impressed by the beautiful looks of flowers? Who makes clothes for them? It is the Lord God Almighty!

1 Peter 5:7 (KJV) Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

So, we should not be worried about the things that we will eat or about the things that we will wear. We should trust in God. We should rely fully upon God. We should not look at the ugly situations that we are seeing. We should be anxious for nothing but through prayers with thanksgiving, let us make our request known unto God.

Philippians 4:6 (KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
