I Want To Do What Is Good. My Review

When we turn to God, we are expected to do what is good. A christian is someone who has repented from sins. His life and His lifestyle is the one that makes others to see the beauty of Christ in Him. We should manifest the glory of God in our lives by living a life that glorifies God. A life that glorifies God is the one that has shun sin and every form of unrighteousness. Our God is a holy God. We ourselves are called unto holiness. Sin should not be named around us. We are the begotten of God. As our God is holy so let us be holy. So, we are admonished by the scriptures to avoid every form of uncleanness.

What shall we say then, shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? No, because if we live in sin we are making the grace of God to be of none effect. But the ability to life godly is not in us. Sin has dominated our flesh. This same flesh works against God. It does not want to obey the will of God. The commandments of God are unpleasant unto it. We cannot do the will of God by our own selves. The flesh wars against the spirit. It is contrary to the spirit. It does not want us to do the will of God. There is no man who can please God through the works of the flesh. We have to mortify our flesh so that we can do the will of God.

Let us study the Word of God always. Let us obey the commandments of God. Let us allow the light of God's Word to illuminate our hearts and minds and take away the unfruitful works of darkness from us. We are not going to please God by ourselves. We need to submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
