Redimir el tiempo// Redeeming the Time [ENG-ESP]
Happy new month to you all, welcome to my blog once again. All of a sudden we are in the month of February, January has elapsed and we are left with eleven months for the year to be over. This is just a solemn reminder that time is ticking and it is waiting for no one, remember those New Year resolutions you made at the beginning of the year? Are you consistently working towards achieving them?
Even God the creator of the universe acknowledges time and has set time in place for all creation. The bible says in Ephesians
Ephesians 5:15-17 King James Version (KJV):
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
The emphasis on “redeeming the time” to redeem the time means to make use of time wisely, to utilize every opportunity we have and make the best use of it. Funny enough, we can not have January again for this year, it is just once and if you failed to utilize the time you had then, you have lost it. Redeeming the time is not just about being productive or efficient; it's about being intentional with the time we have.
If you read through psalms 90: 12: 2 :
so teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. On our own most times it might seem difficult to utilize the timing for everything but asking God to help us and teach us to understand time and to number our days is crucial.
How We To Redeem Time As Believers
1. Seek God's Guidance First: Seek to understand God's will for your life and prioritize it. Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (NIV). When you seek God’s guidance always you will not waste time being confused on what to do, you will not do the trial and error method trying to test so many things before finding the suitable one. His guidance leads us and help us to do the right things and at the right time.
2. Use Your Time Wisely: Be intentional about how you use your time. Avoid wasting time on unnecessary things. Even the bible admonishes us to avoid wasting time o worthless things. Psalm 119:37 says,
"Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word." (NIV)
3. Seek Wisdom:Seek wisdom from God's Word and from godly counsel. When you have wisdom you can utilize the knowledge you have wisely, wisdom is profitable to direct, and to utilize time wisely we need direction which we gain from wisdom
proverbs 3:13-14 says,
"Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.
4. Be Focused: remaining focus is another aspect that saves our energy and time. Most times we fail to look ahead and forget what is behind as the apostle Paul wrote,
"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:13-14). Let’s save the time and move ahead.
So, let's press on towards our goals, let’s make this year count, and let's make sure we're living a life that honors God.
Redeem the time for the days are evil.
Feliz mes a todos, bienvenidos una vez más a mi blog. De repente estamos en el mes de febrero, enero ha pasado y nos quedan once meses para que acabe el año. Esto no es más que un solemne recordatorio de que el tiempo corre y no espera a nadie, ¿recuerdas aquellos propósitos de Año Nuevo que te hiciste a principios de año? ¿Te esfuerzas por cumplirlos?
Incluso Dios, el creador del universo, reconoce el tiempo y lo ha establecido para toda la creación. La Biblia dice en Efesios
Efesios 5:15-17 Versión Reina Valera (RV):
Mirad, pues, con diligencia, no como necios, sino como sabios, aprovechando bien el tiempo, porque los días son malos. Por tanto, no seáis insensatos, sino comprended cuál es la voluntad del Señor.
El énfasis en ** «redimiendo el tiempo »** redimir el tiempo significa hacer uso del tiempo sabiamente, utilizar cada oportunidad que tenemos y hacer el mejor uso de ella. Curiosamente, no podemos tener enero de nuevo para este año, es sólo una vez y si usted no pudo utilizar el tiempo que tenía entonces, lo ha perdido. Redimir el tiempo no se trata sólo de ser productivo o eficiente; se trata de ser intencional con el tiempo que tenemos.
Si lees Salmos 90: 12: 2 :
enséñanos a contar nuestros días, para que apliquemos nuestro corazón a la sabiduría. Por nuestra cuenta la mayoría de las veces puede parecer difícil utilizar el tiempo para todo, pero pedirle a Dios que nos ayude y nos enseñe a entender el tiempo y a contar nuestros días es crucial.
Cómo redimir el tiempo como creyentes.
1. Busca primero la guía de Dios: Busca entender la voluntad de Dios para tu vida y dale prioridad. Mateo 6:33 dice: «Pero busquen primero su reino y su justicia, y todas estas cosas les serán dadas por añadidura». (NVI). Cuando busques siempre la guía de Dios no perderás el tiempo confundido sobre qué hacer, no harás el método de ensayo y error tratando de probar tantas cosas antes de encontrar la adecuada. Su guía nos guía y nos ayuda a hacer las cosas correctas y en el momento correcto.
2. Usa tu tiempo sabiamente: Sé intencional sobre cómo usas tu tiempo. Evita perder el tiempo en cosas innecesarias. Incluso la Biblia nos amonesta a evitar perder el tiempo en cosas sin valor. **El Salmo 119:37 dice
«Aparta mis ojos de las cosas sin valor; preserva mi vida según tu palabra». (NVI)
3. Busca la sabiduría:Busca la sabiduría en la Palabra de Dios y en el consejo piadoso. Cuando tienes sabiduría puedes utilizar el conocimiento que tienes sabiamente, la sabiduría es provechosa para dirigir, y para utilizar el tiempo sabiamente necesitamos dirección la cual obtenemos de la sabiduría
Proverbios 3:13-14 dice,
"Bienaventurados los que hallan sabiduría, los que adquieren inteligencia, porque ella es más provechosa que la plata y rinde mejores frutos que el oro.
4. Estar centrado: permanecer centrado es otro aspecto que ahorra nuestra energía y tiempo. La mayoría de las veces no miramos hacia adelante y nos olvidamos de lo que hay detrás, como escribió el apóstol Pablo,
"Hermanos y hermanas, no considero haberme apoderado todavía de ella. Pero una cosa sí hago: Olvidando lo que queda atrás y esforzándome por alcanzar lo que está por delante, prosigo hacia la meta para ganar el premio por el que Dios me ha llamado al cielo en Cristo Jesús». (Filipenses 3:13-14). Ahorremos tiempo y avancemos.
Así que sigamos adelante hacia nuestras metas, hagamos que este año cuente y asegurémonos de vivir una vida que honre a Dios.
Redime el tiempo porque los días son malos.
