Cuando la lluvia amenaza con arruinar el día de lavado // When the Rain Threatens to Ruin Wash Day [ESP-ENG]

Hola, mis queridos amigos de Hive, feliz domingo a todos. La semana pasada fue muy ajetreada para mí, tanto que apenas tuve tiempo para lavar, limpiar e incluso ordenar mi armario. Lo peor de todo es que llovió casi todos los días de la semana pasada.

La mayoría de las veces me pregunto cómo es que a la gente le gusta lavar la ropa. Tengo amigos que pueden terminar de lavar un montón de ropa en una hora o menos, pero cada vez que yo lavo, paso horas intentando lavar y enjuagar, y siempre es muy molesto, especialmente si empieza a llover mientras estoy lavando.

Para mí, lavar la ropa es una tarea muy agotadora. De todas las tareas domésticas, me gusta barrer, limpiar y, sobre todo, cocinar, pero fregar los platos y lavar la ropa es algo que no soporto, es una de las tareas más difíciles de la casa, pero no tengo otra opción que hacerlo, me guste o no.

Creo que con el tiempo aprenderé a gustarme lavar o tal vez tenga que comprar una lavadora, pero eso será cuando tenga mi propia casa, porque mi madre no toleraría que usara una lavadora cuando tengo manos, ella dice que usar una lavadora para lavar es para gente perezosa.

Ayer tuve que sacar toda la ropa sucia que había usado durante la semana de mi armario, y no solo eso, sino que también tuve que lavar la colcha y la funda de almohada. Había mucha ropa para lavar y en ese momento solo tenía dos deseos sinceros: rezaba por tener fuerzas para lavar la ropa y por que saliera el sol.

Me enfado cada vez que lavo y llueve, porque eso hace que la ropa se quede ahí hasta el día siguiente y, la mayoría de las veces, huele mal, lo que significa que hay que volver a lavarla toda, lo que a veces puede ser muy frustrante.

Cuando saqué la ropa para lavar, miré las nubes y estaba un poco nublado y no hacía mucho sol, así que lo único que pude decir fue: «Dios, por favor, que salga el sol», porque sabía que si no la lavaba en ese momento, tendría que esperar hasta la semana siguiente para tener tiempo y, para entonces, seguro que la ropa se habría duplicado.

Pude lavarla y secarla toda, aunque el tiempo no era muy bueno, pero era mejor que tener un día lluvioso para lavar. Más tarde, por la tarde, salió el sol y toda mi ropa se secó, todo gracias a Dios por responder a mis plegarias.

Así fue como me fue con la limpieza, amigos, aunque me llevó algo de tiempo, pero me alegro de haberla hecho.

Hello my great friends of Hive, Happy Sunday to you all. Last week had really been a hectic one for me that I rarely had time to wash, clean and even arrange my wardrobe, worst of it all it rained almost every day of last week.

You know most times I do wonder how people enjoy washing clothes, I have friends that could finish washing a whole load of clothes in an hour or less but whenever I wash I spend hours trying to wash and rinse and it is always so annoying especially if rain starts while I am washing.

I find washing to be a very hectic chore to do, of all the chores at home I enjoy sweeping, cleaning and of all cooking but you see dish washing and clothes washing it’s a no no for me, it is one of the difficult task at home but I don’t have an option than to wash them whether I like doing it or not.

I think with time I will learn to like washing or maybe I will have to buy a washing machine but that would be when I have my own house because my mum would not tolerate me using a washing machine when I have hands, she says using washing machine for washing is for lazy people.

So yesterday, I had to clear all the dirty clothes I had worn through the week from my wardrobe, not just that I had to also wash my bed spread and pillow case. There were a whole lots of clothes for washing and I had just two earnest prayer at that moment, all I prayed for was the strength to wash the clothes and also for sunlight.

I do feel angry whenever I wash and it rains, that will make the clothes to stay over till the next day and most times it smells and that would mean rewashing them all over again, that could be very frustrating at times.

When I brought out the clothes to wash I check the cloud and it was a bit cloudy and not so bright, all I could say was “God please let there be sunlight” because I knew if I didn’t wash them that time then that would be till next week before I would have that time and by then I am sure the clothes would be times two of what I was supposed to wash.

I was able to wash them all and dry them, though the weather was not too bright but it was better than having a rainy washing day, later in the afternoon sun rose and all my clothes were dried, all thanks to God for the answered prayers.

So friends that was how my cleaning went, though it took me some time but I am glad still washed.
