EARLY AND LATE MATURATION

Good morning Hive Community. I am Usman Yusuf Usman.

I am here today again to discuss about (EARLY AND LATE MATURATION). So, developing earlier or later than their peers can lead to some complexities. Developing early can result in great pressure on children or adolescents, as emotionally they may not have reached stage I of development. Late maturation also have problems and may feel inferior to their peers if they do not show the expected bodily changes.

Developing earlier or later, therefore, can lead to complexes or emotional confusion. Early maturation, of both sexes, tend to be given more responsibilities and are expected to make more responsible decisions. They may find themselves in conflict with their parents, especially girls who try to dress and wear makeup like adults. This can make girls feel self-conscious and less confident.

Late maturation, on the other hand, may be less distracted by schoolwork and therefore tend to perform better academically. They may be less successful in sports and feel socially excluded. From a positional perspective, it has been found that late maturation of both sexes tend to have a stronger sense of self-awareness. IN ADDITION, the rapid physical growth that accompanies adolescence means that certain strains can be placed on the restlessness that results from the young person if adequate rest is not allowed. In addition, parents, teachers, clergy and the community should take note and help guide these children through this phase, as adolescents need to be cared for and guided seriously at this stage. We should not try to neglect children at this stage, even if they are not from our community or family. Try to be an important part of their lives by investing knowledge, guiding them in what they really need to understand. Believe me, these children at this stage will also guide the next generation. Let this knowledge circulate and be passed on to future generations. Sometimes parents need to pray for these children (teenagers).
