Playing And Picking Flowers At Water World

My daughter went to visit her brother JJ and grandmother, and it became one of those simple days that went special. Her plan was only to drop by, but sometimes the best moments are the ones we don’t plan at all.

They always took some selfies and on the way home, they noticed the flowers growing along the road. They were not fancy flowers, just simple ones you usually see when walking around the province. Still, they were beautiful in their own way. My daughter and her cousin picked some and they taught to used them as props for selfies. They laughed, posed, and teased each other while holding the flowers close to their faces.

What I loved most was how natural everything felt. No pressure, no phones at first, just kids enjoying that moment. After taking pictures, they started playing like they used to when they were younger. Running, bending down, picking things from the ground, and laughing loudly without caring who was watching. It reminded me how simple joy can be when you are with people you grew up with. My son Jj was the first one to throw stones in the water. He wants the stone to bump in the water and the two girls wanted to try it.

Growing up with your cousins is something really special. I remember my childhood memories while looking at my daughters pictures. There is comfort in being around people who know you from childhood. No need to pretend or explain yourself. You can just be who you are. Watching my daughter enjoy that kind of bond made me realize how important it is to let children experience these moments.
In a world where everything feels rushed, seeing her enjoy a slow day with her cousins feels like a blessing. Sometimes, happiness is just a walk, a few flowers, and shared laughter with people who feel like home.
