Cynthia was having second thoughts about going for the reunion. She had already decided not to go when Helen called, "Girlfriend how are you? remember it's tomorrow and I don't want to hear you are not coming. We have not seen each other in eight years, and this reunion will help us catch up and reconnect with those whose contacts we have lost.

Alright I will come it's starting at 7 pm right? Helen replied, Yes it is . Okay see you tomorrow.

She stood you to search her wardrobe for something decent she could wear, after going through the clothes settled for a black dress. Pick her phone to check some of her old mates handle and saw how they are doing so well. She has gotten admission to the university 3 years after secondary school and when she was in 100lv most of her mates were rounding up.

By the she finished , most were done serving and working, many were married, and doing so well for themselves. And here she was feeling she's late or lagging behind. She had always tried not to compare herself with her mates from sec school , believing they were all running different races but with this reunion she felt indifferent.

Cynthia had prepared early so she could reach early cause she hated being in the spotlight. Thankfully she met few people when she got there, exchanged pleasantries with few and sat down. Not long after they started trooping in, it was like she have never met or known these people, the level of sophistication was beyond her imagination, the ambience of the place and people made her feel inferior.

She couldn't wait for the event to start properly when she whispered to Helen , "I don't belong here, I need to leave. Her eyes filled with tears. It only reminded her of how behind she was. One won't believe she was classmates with all this people once upon a time.
