The suit was unsuccessful, and interestingly, the owner of this restaurant is named Ronald McDonald.

Totally, it's like they think they own the name itself. Big corps often bulldoze smaller businesses without a second thought. Wild how far they'll go for control.

Another example is Wendy's Snackbar from Goes, a small town in the Netherlands, which managed to keep the Wendy's chain out of the Benelux, after a long legal battle that reached the European courts.

That's, that's wild! I didn't know about Wendy's Snackbar holding off the big chain like that. Pretty cool how small businesses can stand their ground sometimes
