Hello everyone, welcome to my blog.
When you live in a tourist spot, you generally suffer from the accustomed resident syndrome, in which those of us who live in tourist areas completely forget that we live in wonderful places and that we can still go and admire and enjoy them on occasion.

One day, my father realised this, and taking advantage of the fact that we were going out shopping, he took a small detour to the Valley of the Holy Spirit, home of our beloved Virgin of the Valley, patron saint of the entire eastern part of our country.
The Valley of the Holy Spirit is a tourist destination par excellence, as it is customary for all tourists in the country to come and pray to the Virgin for health and a safe journey.

With a basilica full of beautiful stained glass windows of all colours and dozens of merchants around the church, this is a place that is totally emblematic of our culture. These informal traders (not to be confused with street vendors) sell almost everything, but mostly souvenirs, jewellery and things to enjoy with the family, as well as many delicious sweets.

Among so many merchants, we fell victim to the smooth talk of a raspado vendor. A raspado is a glass of crushed ice with fruit syrup and condensed milk, and it used to be so popular in the past that my dad bought one for everyone.

It had been a long time since I had spent time with my father, and I thank my little virgin for being aware of the resident syndrome and deciding to come and have a good time.
Thank you all very much for reading and sharing. Until next time.

P.S.: Here are the best photos of the stained glass windows. Thank you for viewing.
