Hello everyone, welcome to my blog.

It's imminent. We're already well into October, and that can only mean one thing: Halloween is coming.

Personally, Halloween doesn't affect me one way or the other; I'm neither excited nor bored by it. My family doesn't usually celebrate it at all, not even with candy or costumes, so I went to the mall a few days ago and was really impressed to see most of the stores decorated with this pseudo-spooky theme.

Initially, I just went to the Mundo Escolar store to buy a conventional pencil sharpener, and it was there that I realized that Halloween was real and imminent. I looked around and many stores were decorating, or were already decorated for Halloween, which I find worrying considering that there were more than 10 days left until that date.

To tell the truth, I dislike Halloween. I admit to being a frustrated child who develops an obvious aversion to all the things he couldn't have in his childhood, which is why Halloween seems to me to be an unnecessary holiday, a product of commercialism and imperialist gringo colonialism, since I've never been given a single piece of candy. Maybe it could also be because I'm super scared of everything related to horror and clearly fear all horror in general.

It's ironic. I'm an adult now, and looking around me, it seems that everyone who celebrates Halloween really enjoys it; and honestly, I'd like to feel like I'm part of the crowd, which has me seriously considering dressing up in a costume and stealing some candy.

Halloween is in the air, in my McDonald's Happy Meal, at the tailor's in the mall, in the products at the drugstore, and even in the bars and supermarkets I visit. I hadn't been aware of it until I saw an animatronic attraction at the convenience store and was fascinated by it.

Maybe I'm just a Halloween Grinch whose Christmas spirit has been ignited, or maybe I'm just jealous of the kids who get free candy. It's either one or the other, or maybe both. The fact is, this year, I think I'll change a little and at least paint on a mustache, you know, to be happy and be like everyone else. It seems like fun, who knows, at least let's try it once to see if it's worth it.

Thank you all very much for reading and sharing. Until next time.
