Sunday spent under sprinkle

The period from 1st July to 15th August is characterized by heavy rainfall. The humidity remains high. The sun shines less but the weather remains wet and hot. Sunday started with the weather that was annoying and hot. The temperature was low but the body was sweating like in any kiln. From early morning to noon, each second was more suffocating than the previous and then the air started blowing all of a sudden. This is the mystery of the “Barsaat” season that the weather changes within minutes. Any cloud may come from any direction and start pouring with all its might and then it will disappear quickly as well.

The same happened that day soon a storm started creating havoc by blowing out billboards. It was followed by rain. From the balcony of my flat I was witnessing this and then the storm shushed and it started raining, I called my friends for a hangout. Biking would have been dangerous in the rain due to slippery roads and speedy traffic. My friend owns a car so he brought that and picked us all up. The plan was simple to roam about and enjoy the sprinkle. We wandered on roads. From parks to commercial areas, eating street foods and seeing beautiful scenery created by rain.

We strolled on the roads and after enjoying the rain for three to four hours, we returned tired. Rain possesses a very magical power. Within a short span, it creates freshness in everything and fades fatigue and dullness from our soul. This is the short narration of how I spent my Sunday.
