If I am the cure
This world has witnessed billions of people. Billions have lived in it, billions are living in it, and billions will live in it as well. But there are few names as compared to the human population that managed to echo their names even after their death. Some were renowned for humanitarian and philanthropic purposes, while the cruelties of some made them notorious. So the one who decided to live life that was not simple and by lives of other people created his/her niche in history and made his name echo for decades.
The recent promt by #hivelearners has compelled me to think about the purpose of my life. We have been brought into this world and we will leave it without our will and control even but what we have is to mould the life between according to our own will. Do I want to live a simple life? Taking care of me and my family,managing resources throughout my life and then kicking the bucket unanimously? The question was hard.
I have always believed that some lives can be put at stake to save many. Likewise, rendering my life for a treatment which millions of people are longing for is a virtuous act, but this comes with many compromises as well. I will be helping humanity, but my personal life will be affected. My privacy will be destroyed, and I will become an attraction point for clinical trials. I will be under constant monitoring and will be bound to let them interfere with my body because the scientists will not only be busy using my genes for treatment, but they will be trying to find out why I have that genetic makeup as well.

Along with repute, letting my genes be used for medical purposes will grant me some life perks as well. I will be approached by big medical companies who will be eager willing to put me under trials to extract medicines from genes so that they can capitalise on them. I will be the apple of their eye and will be awarded with everything I will day. Quite interesting lolz😂. Usman will agree on one palace,one jet, one land cruiser and a handsome bank statement. Hehe lolz.
Kidding apart, we are destined to die. Our death is inevitable. There is no harm in making our lives useful for others. Living for one's is so boring. What is meant by life which is of no use, which does not feel about its fellow humans, and which is deprived of passion of compassion. If on some day, it is revealed that my genes can do wonders in saving the lives of others, I will render myself for examination, experiments, and extraction. I will demand some security for my family in return, but will not hesitate to deliver this service.
