Depression A Silent Killer

One of the most severe illnesses that can possibly kill a human being is depression and it should not be underestimated at all. Mental illnesses such as depression have become rampant in the current world mainly because of new technologies and innovation that has evolved and spreads so rapidly. People are unable to communicate with each other due to quarantine, and everyone spends a lot of time with their smartphones because everything one can ever imagine about entertainment is there on the social media space and people think it's better the stya there and forget about their sorrows, not knowing they're gradually dying to depression, so mental health issues worsened in such a situation because we became lonely with our devices, some people prefer taking advice from the Internet than sharing their problems with a fellow individual and seek for help when necessary.

This is why teenagers with depression need to be told that this illness is not something that will pass in a week or a month and it is not a stupidity that can be warded off because we have a greater number of young people on the Internet today and they think it is better they stay there. That is a real and severe disorder and should be recognized and treated accordingly. People believe that it’s normal to ask for help from a therapist or psychologist because asking for these services show that you want to get well and better.

Most people and several cultures today are yet to give much consideration as well as attention to mental health disorders. Denial can be dangerous because it allows people to avoid diagnosis and treatment, so that they can hide from the stigma of mental illness. Stigma of this sort simply compounds the woes of living with this condition and also leads to increased isolation.

It is necessary to help people have understanding and not punitive when they are depressed. Just being there to listen; having someone to encourage them; and pointing them in the right direction to get the help they need can be of huge benefit in their process of healing. I think everyone should value their mental status and should not afraid to seek assistant when in trouble.

Eradicating the issue which has been placed around depression is crucial as a first step in order to make a support system that is more welcoming. The more aware and tolerant the mass is of mental health matters the better it will be for more people to approach for treatment without much stigma.

Learn to say it, it’s alright not to be alright at times. Depression is not an invention of an imagination a mere fabrication that has no reason to be given any regard whatsoever. By addressing it with an understanding approach we can then extend support towards improving the lives of those that are those living with mental health challenges. It’s high time we all joined the fight in raising awareness on the disease and breaking the silence of depression.

Hello @ukotex is an energetic and heartfelt publication, which breaks down and reveals the stigmatization of mental health, an event that has endured through the ages, in interculturality and unfortunately affects not only the sick, but their environment and our peers in our society. In my reflections a great discordance arises, as a society we are complacent and tolerant to many changes, most of them, with turns of up to 360° but paradoxically we continue pigeonholing and marking, the mental affections among them depression. That is a great weakness and that harms considerably, limiting many patients to require the necessary help, finding ourselves with misfortunes, which unfortunately could have been attended in time, but the social trace, leaves its terrible imprint. We must be aware that the disease is a condition that reflects an imbalance in our body, without typifying, because after all, we are all exposed to affect any part of our body, and this includes our mind, she is included in the compendium. It has been a pleasure to discuss in your publication, until another occasion. Health and wellness !LUV

Salud y bienestar.

Can't argue less with you that depression is indeed a killer, it has taken the lives of some of it victims which is indeed so sad. I wish everyone lives a life free from depression.
