Hi everyone, I woke up feeling really happy and can tell why, so it is a great day. When I came across this amazing cactus while rushing to work, I decided to snap a picture of it and post it to the community of photography enthusiasts.

The family Cereus peruvianus (Cereus repandus) is commonly known by the following names:
Common Name:Peruvian apple cactus,Giant club cactus,Hedge cactus
Family:Cactaceae (the cactus family)
Rooted Cereus peruvianus (also known as Cereus repandus), a tall, columnar cactus native to South America. Here are a few care and planting tips for your rooted cactus:
Caring for Rooted Cereus peruvianus:

  1. Sunlight
Needs full sun to partial shade.
Indoors, place it near a south- or west-facing window.
  2. Watering
Water sparingly: allow the soil to completely dry between waterings.
    In winter, reduce watering significantly.
  3. Soil
Use well-draining cactus mix or a combination of:
    2 parts sand or perlite
    1 part potting soil
1 part pumice or crushed gravel
  4. Potting
Ensure the pot has drainage holes.
Avoid deep pots if the plant is young, as it can lead to root rot.
  5. Temperature
    Prefers warm temperatures (70–95°F / 21–35°C).
Tolerates cool temps down to ~50°F (10°C) but is not frost-hardy.
  6. Fertilizing
Feed monthly during the growing season (spring/summer) with a cactus fertilizer.
    Do not fertilize in winter.
    • Growth and Blooming
This cactus can grow very tall (up to 10–30 feet outdoors).
It produces large, night-blooming white flowers—spectacular but rare in indoor plants.
May bear edible fruits similar to dragon fruit in tropical climates.
