Caring for Rooted Cereus peruvianus:
- Sunlight
Needs full sun to partial shade.
Indoors, place it near a south- or west-facing window. - Watering
Water sparingly: allow the soil to completely dry between waterings.
In winter, reduce watering significantly. - Soil
Use well-draining cactus mix or a combination of:
2 parts sand or perlite
1 part potting soil
1 part pumice or crushed gravel - Potting
Ensure the pot has drainage holes.
Avoid deep pots if the plant is young, as it can lead to root rot. - Temperature
Prefers warm temperatures (70–95°F / 21–35°C).
Tolerates cool temps down to ~50°F (10°C) but is not frost-hardy. - Fertilizing
Feed monthly during the growing season (spring/summer) with a cactus fertilizer.
Do not fertilize in winter.

This cactus can grow very tall (up to 10–30 feet outdoors).
It produces large, night-blooming white flowers—spectacular but rare in indoor plants.
