A picture is worth a thousand words
What I see.
I saw a little girl with blond hair putting on a colorful jacket with red flowers and a plate of fried Irish potatoes. She is eating the fried Irish potatoes with great pleasure.
What do I feel.
The little girl explored the room with her inquisitive eyes while enjoying her fried Irish potatoes, which made me think she was getting what she had been craving.
My Story
Little Utibeno-Abasi sat at the wooden table with her round eyes fixed on the golden pile of fried Irish potatoes in front of her, her little legs hanging from the chair. As the sun shone through the window, it softly illuminated her plump cheeks and the loose curls that framed her face.
As though she were unraveling a great mystery, her expression was one of both fascination and introspection. Was she arguing over whether to wait for a fork or eat them with her fingers? Did she just admire the crispy perfection in front of her?
After hovering over the plate, her tiny hand moved away. She gave me a quick glance as a silent question glistened in her wide eyes. Was she enjoying the moment before the first bite, or was she waiting for permission?
Finally, she brought a piece to her lips with a tiny finger that pinched it. She grinned slowly as the crunch was nearly audible. Contentment. Pleasure. A feeling of triumph.
The purity of childhood—innocence, awe, and the sheer delight of witnessing something so tiny yet so ideal—was evident in that instant.
A photograph of this scene could convey a thousand different stories, such as those of hunger, patience, curiosity, or even the connection we shared in that quiet. As I observed her, however, I came to the realization that no picture could adequately convey the warmth, love, and the enchantment of a passing moment transformed into something special.
