HOPELESS HOPE
Good morning from Nigeria đ hivians, this is a little poem I wrote to get your day started and put you in the right frame of mind, also to remind you that it's okay to pause and re strategize it's never too late.
And you will always rise from the ashes of your problems.
When hope is hopelessâŚ
it feels like youâre drowning in silence,
like everyone else is running faster,
and youâre stuck⌠just trying to breathe.
You scroll through screens of smiling faces,
perfect lives, perfect places,
and whisper to yourself, âWhy not me?â
but nobody posts the nights they cry.
Depression creeps in like an unwelcome guest,
telling you lies, feeding your chest with heaviness:
âYouâll never be enough. Youâll never break through.â
But hear me; darkness is only proof that stars exist too.
Curiosity eats at you in the quiet,
questions louder than any riot:
âWill I make it? Am I even on the right path?â
But questions, my friend, are seedsâŚ
they bloom when you learn to wait for the rain.
Competition screams like a crowded street,
but growth? Growth whispers your name in secret.
You donât have to run at their pace,
your journey was never built for their race.
So when hope feels hopeless,
pause, breathe and stand still.
The night will end, Oh! The light will come.
And you? You are rising, Yea... even now.đš
I hope it spoke to you like it did to me.
The image used is mine.
I love this, I love poetry so much and I love people that writes them.
This piece is really inspiring, everyone lives looks perfect on screen and it makes it seem like you are not doing enough but just like you said we are not on anyone's pace. It's not a race but a journey
Thank you đ
