На початку цього року злетіла до 100, потім опустилася ненадовго до 80 й знову тримається на 105 000 за монету. Якщо не брати до уваги зростання приблизно на 100%, то волатильність досить низька. Для впевненості перегляньте графіки S@P500 чи NASDAQ. Падіння в останніх теж бувають суттєвими. Так, лише в цьому році акції американської фондової біржі упали так же само, як і Біткоїн.
Між інвестиціями в фонди й Біткоїн є кілька дуже суттєвих відмінностей. Одна з них — це доступність для звичайних людей, назвемо їх інвесторами з мінімальним портфелем. Біткоїн значно краще підходить для збереження цінності, чим цінні папери, не кажучи вже паперові гроші.
Біткоїн несе загрозу чинній фінансовій системі, бо він її просто знищить, витіснить і стане фундаментом для побудови нової. Чи буде цей процес болісним відповісти складно, але цілком можливий складний перехідний етап.
Чотири місяці тому я писав про думки економіста старої школи. До речі, Нобелівського лауреата у сфері економіки.
