Resolute Affirmations

For what it's worth I won't lower my guard
For it is in difficult times a man is known
No act of timidity is condoned
As cowardice is forbidden

In these life battles there will be victors and vanquished
I aim not to be the latter
As I aim to reach for much gold on the platter
Standing strong I won't falter

Fake evidence appearing real
That's what fear is
Why should I be weary
Rather I'll take the bull by the horns
As I endure the pain while walking on thorns
I know my days of glory will soon be here
Even though time runs like an hare

With each step forward, my courage ignites,
