REALITY CHECK.
Funny how you can see someone extremely active today and tomorrow the person is no more . The mystery surrounding this life phenomenon is no doubt hard to fathom. This is what I woke up to this morning when my girl told me one of my rabbits seems to be lifeless.
Hearing this I springed out of the bed and rushed down to quickly see what was happening. As I got to the courtyard I even noticed it was two of them lying lifeless on the floor. "What could have happened?" were the words ringing in my thoughts.
Till now I really do not know what went wrong with those two bunnies. They were the last pair I got and they lasted barely two months with me . To be honest it was sad losing them but this is more or less of an awakening to care more for these furry friends of mine .
This incident has made me realize the importance of cherishing each moment, of being more attentive and caring. I’ve started to think about how I can better understand and meet their needs, maybe even get them checked regularly or provide a more comfortable environment.
In a way, I see this as a lesson of humility and gratitude. It sorts of remind me that life is unpredictable and that we should hold dear those we love, furry or not, every single day.
Tonight I'm not taking chances so they are all locked up in their cages
That’s such a tough situation @typebox, and I can really feel the sadness in your words.. Losing pets is never easy, especially when they’re so full of life one moment and gone the next.. I had a guinea pig before.. left it for an hour and returned to its stiff and lifeless body.. the cause is still a mystery..
I hope the rest of your bunnies stay healthy..
