MY TOP FIVE MOVIE PICKS

I love movies, always have, always will. There are a lot of great movies, bad ones too....
But there are these movies that just define cinematic excellence, and no matter how many times you watch them, they never get old. It's like watching for the first time. There are 5 of those for me....

At no 5 is KLAUS.

Klaus is a Netflix animated movie about the origins and spread of the Christmas lore. Every year from October through December, I watch it over and over again. It is a heartwarming family movie that shows the importance of Kindness and how kindness can change not just your life, but the lives of everyone around you.

No 4 is V FOR VENDETTA

These days, movies are mostly about stunning visuals and bright lights. V for Vendetta's visuals were not the best, the acting wasn't all that either. The dialogue however, was masterclass. One of my favourite quotes came out of that movie:

"While the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and to those who listen, the enunciation of truth"

At No 3 is 500 DAYS OF SUMMER

I like it because it's an anti-love story. I have nothing against love as a concept, my problem is with the idealised version pushed in pop culture; movies, songs, etc.

Relationships are messy, humans are unpredictable, fickle and this movie brings out the reality of that. It's a great watch.
Zoey Deschanel is also stunning by the way.

BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S is no 2 on my list .

Audrey Hepburn! As long as she's in it, I'm watching it. She's dead now but my heart is hers!

Sitting on top at no 1 just has to be CASABLANCA

This movie is an absolute treasure!!! I can't think of a better movie. It blows me away every time I watch it. Hollywood's greatest creation.

And Ingrid Bergman was a goddess!
