Thanks so much, David, I appreciate it! Your first thought was correct, they're Mysore blackberries, an ever-bearing variety from India. They keep producing wave after wave of fruit all year long. They're very tasty indeed! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

That's interesting. I had never heard of them until now. One thing I miss about England is the blackberries and raspberries, which are not so common in Japan. When I was a boy we had raspberry canes in our garden.

I hadn't heard of this variety before coming to Hawai'i either. That's exactly what I was missing about living here, berries, especially blackberries and raspberries. We actually have two species that produce fruit here now, the naturalized and wild thimbleberry, which comes from the Moluccas Island, is a tropical raspberry that grows all over the place, and now this Mysore blackberry. They're both delicious! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
