My Entry for Reflection Hunters Contest: Round 207 - Scarlet Epidendrum Reflections - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Big Island, Hawai'i - Saturday, February 22, 2025

Warm greetings fellow reflection Hunters! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

For my entry in Reflection Hunters Contest: Round 207, I'd like to share a lovely batch of photos that I took yesterday in the late-afternoon sunlight, of several scarlet-red (with a little yellow) terrestrial Epidendrum (Epidendrum radicans) flowers, reflected in my ever-trusty portable mirror. Of course you'll notice that I took two entirely different kinds of photos here, some from below looking skyward, and a couple close-ups. I like the close-ups more, but I still think that the upward-looking ones are pretty cool too.

This lovely orchid is one that I brought here a few years ago from the coast, and it's thrived up on the lava along the trail to the Flow House, usually with several in flower at any particular time. I adore taking photos of these eye-catching flowers, and it's something that I can't help but do often. I hope that you appreciate these shots as much as I did when I took them! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
