My 182nd Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update: On Track to Achieve All 3 Main 2025 Hive Goals, and Adaptation in the Midst of Challenging Hive Times - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Sunday, November 23, 2025

Welcome to my 182nd Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update! Yikes what a week, both on the good, and the not-so-good side. While I am on track to achieve my last two main 2025 Goals, HP and HBD in Savings, which is excellent, after looking more deeply into the present situation with HBD, HIVE, the Hive Debt, and the fiat dollar, I'm realizing that change of plans might be necessary soon.

The Hive Debt is presently sitting at an insane 17.94%, and what's even crazier is that it was 'only' at 13% yesterday! That's really, really not good. In earlier incarnations of the chain, these levels would have unpegged HBD from the dollar. The present Hive Debt threshold for the triggering of the haircut rule is presently set to 30%, which is approaching quite quickly at the moment. With the Hive Debt and HIVE inflation both at all-time highs, and the fiat price of HIVE at an all-time low, we are moving into quite perilous waters indeed.

Because of this rapidly-rising Hive Debt, I'm strongly considering withdrawing my HBD, and that of the We Are Alive Tribe, from Savings (after the next interest claims), converting it to HIVE, and powering it up, before HBD loses its dollar peg. Based on the present price of HIVE, on my own account this would give me close to 6,000 HIVE, which when powered up would take me past 20,000 Hive Power.

Another not-so-good bit of news to report is that, because of the present attitude of the fellow who runs BeeSwap and BXT regarding Hive, and from it the unreliability of BXT, I've decided to unstake all my BXT, and swap it for the DBOND/DAB/Rug trio, since the level of HIVE payouts are comparable, and because in terms of returns, they are far more consistent assets. I'm doing the same for the We Are Alive Tribe.

On a more positive note, I blew past 14,600 HP at the beginning of last week, and I crossed the threshold of 14,700 Hive Power yesterday, before the end of the week, so I'm now gaining more than 100 HP per week. The present 3.65% inflation APR for HP, and the fact that there are a lot fewer people active on Hive at the moment, so more of the reward pool goes go those who are active, are very definitely making my HP growth fly as of late.

Other than that, I temporarily removed assets from one diesel/liquidity pool, LSTR:LEO, and I added assets to two new pools, the CENT:LBI and the LSTR:LBI (I needed my LSTR from the other pool for this one), as I love the CENT project and token, and I'm becoming more interested in LBI. The LSTR:LEO pool earns quite good pool fees, so I do plan to add assets to it again, once I have more LSTR to spare.

I think that's pretty much all the really significant news to report from last week, which means that it's time to jump into the numbers, to see how I really did last week. Tallyho we go!

Over the past week I gained +115.285 Hive Power, +10.174 HBD in Savings, and +0.06 Reputation Points, which means that I now only have 291.775 HP and 12.969 HBD in Savings to go before I achieve my 2025 goals for those assets, with my 2025 goal for Reputation having been smashed months ago. I'm going to do my absolute best to reach my 2025 goal of 600 HBD in Savings before I potentially withdraw it to convert to HIVE and power up. This is the most Reputation points that I've gained in a week since I started tracking it, only outdoing the week before last by one point, and both at level 72, where it should be growing more slowly. That's pretty nifty!

In terms of my HiveBuzz rankings, I inched up +3 places for HP, I jumped +8 places for HBD in Savings, and I leaped +34 places for Reputation, which isn't too shabby at all, with all positive numbers, and a huge gain for Reputation. With the present fiat price of HIVE, and the increasing Hive Debt, many people are now withdrawing their HBD from Savings to convert to HIVE, and to then power up, which I may indeed do myself soon.
