I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #1022 - Two Income Hits in a Week, and a Fascinating Idea Proposed to Me - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Thursday, May 15, 2025

I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

My comedy of error that I mentioned last week seems to have carried over into this week, with another ridiculous mistake discovered, much to my intense chagrin. Thursdays are when I receive the HIVE payouts for my BEE delegation to @bee.voter, and I was shocked to see that the payment yesterday was so very low. As I looked closer, I found, to my horror, that I had somehow undelegated most of my BEE from @bee.voter two days previously. As I wondered how on earth this could have happened, it came to me. I had tried to delegate more BEE using BeeSwap. That was a very poor idea, as while BeeSwap is awesome for all sorts of things, how it handles delegating assets, especially when there are multiple delegations, truly sucks. This is the second time now that I've completely screwed up delegations because of its illogical and non-common-sense way of doing it.

So with this second major mistake, I'm basically going to be losing two weeks of HIVE income from @bee.drone, due to the unstaking time, and then after redelegating, waiting another week for the payouts to kick in once again. Doh! This happened in the same week that the Ecency Leaderboard Challenge was brought to an end (for now), which was also another important source of HIVE income for me, bringing in 10-12 HIVE each month. Just ouch!

Of course I'll redelegate my BEE to @bee.voter as soon as I possibly can, but just from this one blunder it's a loss of about 3 HIVE, so very not cool, but I have to do my best with what I've got. Not to self: Never, ever, ever use BeeSwap when there are multiple delegations of the same asset. Just don't.

On a far more positive note, I found this wonderful and surprising comment from Ben (@benthomaswwd, writing on the @aliveandthriving account) on the last version of this post, this morning, and I must say that the idea that he suggested and proposed is deeply fascinating and intriguing to me. Take a look!

Well, isn't that an interesting idea?!? It's certainly one to which I'm open and looking forward to exploring and discussing in more depth!

This passion for synergistic asset leveraging and investing has definitely taken on a life of its own, and I love the idea of being able to help people get a good financial start on Hive, so Ben's suggestion sounds great to me. I'm so curious what may come of it, and how it might unfold! Adding this to the We Are Alive Tribe Guide would help it to be an even better onboarding resource, I think. Perhaps it could spawn an entire We Are Alive Tribe Onboarding Initiative. Yep, that'd be pretty nifty too. Let's see what we can we can do with this!

Yesterday, Thursday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, on the late side again, around 2:45PM, focusing first on collecting a few food supplies for the Landing at Tutu's, and some photography for these posts. With those completed, I went to work with Alex, and later Ano too, in my nursery behind the Landing, to do more clearing along the fenceline, and to cut down some Cecropia that had grown way too big for where they were (even cut, they always sprout up again quickly). That was a very involved process that continued until just about sunset. When we finally finished there, I made myself a simple grilled-cheese in the Landing, and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hand, I headed back to the Flow House, to begin my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up (hahaha...yeah, right!) on my notifications. I had soooo many again that even after several hours of focused work, I wasn't able to even get into the current day, so yeah, I'm way behind on them again, much to my consternation. I finally made myself stop around 11:30PM, and after some asset management and pool analysis, I went to bed around 11:45PM. I woke up a little after 6AM, having slept fairly well, doing more asset management, starting on this post, getting out of bed just after 7AM to go make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, and then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just after 10:15AM, so a glorious time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before preparing for a session that's scheduled for 1:30PM, though we'll probably start sooner since I'm getting this done so early. 2025 Life Goals

1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.

2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.

3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.

4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
