The Twists and Turns of Life
Recently life threw me some more obstacles to deal with. I have been struggling with chronic pain for years, so I turned to trying to learn as much as possible while unable to do mechanic work effectively. The place I am currently living dose not have space for me to put a semi truck or trailer to work on. I would have to travel about 30 minutes each way to be able to work, and driving really sets off the pain. A few years back we lost my papa, and my wife and I have been trying to buy his house from the family so that we could have some space to build our lives back up. However lawyers got in the way of a deal that we thought was already done.
Around January I found a lump in my wife's breast. We tried to work with our PCP and breast surgeons to have it removed and then biopsied due to her autoimmune condition. We talked with 5 doctors over the course of the year that all refused to work with our PCP to come up with a solution that would minimize the risks of spreading any infection. Sadly it got to the point that she could not deal with the pain any longer. Luckily we ended up at MD Anderson, and they actually listened to our concerns and worked with us to come up with a treatment plan. After all the diagnosing work that was done we found out she has breast cancer. Today we got the confirmation that it is stage 3 Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. As bad as that sounds we are relived because she has over a 50% chance to completely beat it! Yes at this point she is looking at not just remission, but being cured!
Yesterday I found out my mom is suffering from kidney failure and will likely require dialysis, at least it sounds like at home dialysis is possible. We should be getting a call from a counseling service soon to help us figure out the next steps.
Never give up, just move forward, and never stop learning! Trying to wrap my head around all these medical problems have made me take a break from learning coding and writing posts as much in order to learn about different treatment options for my family. I am still here and will be shifting my priorities again.
On the positive side we got my mom a trike to ride with us for some exercise, so hopefully we will all get some out more and that should help our health. We were told that daily walks or bike rides should help with some of the chemo treatment symptoms. With the start of fall hopefully there will be more days that the feels like temp is under 100°F.
Offf, that's a lot of stuff. Chronic pain is brutal enough on it's own.(I've got minor inconsistent chronic pain from lockjaw.)
I'm glad to hear the cancer your wife has is one of the one's that has a decent chance of being beat. Though I'm not familiar with the PCP in this context.
Getting outside in nice weather is great for both physical and mental health.
I fully understand putting your families health ahead of anything else.
PCP=Primary Care Provider
Eww lockjaw hurts, luckily I only had jaw pain like that once as a kid.
Ugh I forgot to do the comment rewarder thing again.
That makes a lot more sense then the street drug. :)
I don't have it severly so it's not to bad, and it's been more manageable since getting my wisdom teeth removed.
Ah no worries, keep the rewards to help grow your account. :)
O damn that's a lot to cope with, much strength to you and your loved ones 🙏
Thank you
That sounds like a lot, hopefully the universe turns things around for you soon mate. Hang in there.
I've had my fair share of health complications both personally and through family the last decade, it really is not easy to try and think forward when it is all coming down. Be strong and best of luck. Hope you'll have more time for hive later in a much better situation!

I will pray for you, God will help you. Do not give up. Help from God came to you. IN Quran(the holy book), God says, take help with patience and prayer.
Thank you very much, we will keep pushing forward! I am grateful that times like these push me toward God and not away.
Why things are not working the way they used to be ?
Any idea?
Good question, but I am not sure what you are asking.
You have several difficult health situations, hopefully they can all be resolved and your family will be healthy again. Keep believing and you will overcome all obstacles. Much strength in this process.
Thank you! it will be a long road to travel, but we will keep pushing forward.
Life presents us with challenges to prove what we are made of and how strong we are. Lots of calm and empathy in dealing with the health situations your family is facing, hopefully everyone can come out of this process well.
Thank you! We will do everything we can to get these problems resolved.
Wow I really did not expect this post to get this much traction. My intent was just to let people I hang out with on Hive know why I have been around less than normal. Thank you all so much for making me feel so welcome here. All the prayers and well wishes mean the world to me.
I read this and truly many of us are fortunate in so many things, and if you subtly stopped thinking about yourself and your pain. Strength for everyone to overcome this stage. 💪
100% looking at the blessings in life, and hopes for the future keep us going.
