What’s the Most Unserious Thing That Affected Your Mood Today?

‎Hello, midnight owls. I just woke up from a nap as I have a very hectic and stressful day at work. Before I get back to sleep again, I'm ready to become an owl for the night.

‎It is currently 3:14 a.m, and everything here around me has already gone on a silent mode. One of the thing I enjoyed most about night is the silent, calmness and the fact that nothing will disturb me while doing what I have to do.

‎Sometimes, It’s really funny how the smallest, most trivial or little things can sometimes have the biggest impact on our moods, something we would wave off if it had been some other day. Today, I found myself getting unreasonably frustrated over something that, in hindsight, seems utterly ridiculous. But, here we are, and I thought I'd share my story even though it is ridiculous. Maybe some people can relate, or maybe you'll just laugh at how much power the little things have over us.

‎This morning, I was in the middle of conversation with one of my good customer. Everything was going smoothly, my morning snack in hand, playlist on point, emails being answered, and I was feeling like a productivity ninja. Then, just as I was about to send a message, my phone autocorrected something completely ridiculous.

‎Now, I’m usually pretty chill about autocorrect failings because I know that people will understand that it was just a mistake, but today? Oh, it shouldn't have been today, autocorrect decided to change "meeting" into "moaning." Yes, you read that right. I was in the middle of a professional conversation and typing "looking forward to our meeting," when my phone, in all its infinite wisdom, thought it would be hilarious to turn that into "looking forward to our moaning." how does that even make sense to this stupid phone Naturally, I didn’t catch it in time, and I hit send before I realized.

‎I stared at the message for a solid 30 seconds. My mind raced through the implications of this simple mistake. What would the person on the receiving end think? Would they think I was not serious with my work or that I have a bad intention and to worsen the situation, the customer was a lady. I really need the work and this phone decided to work against me, maybe It was sent by my village people. The more I thought about it, the worse it became. I could feel my cheeks getting warm, and a mild panic set in.

‎But here’s the thing, I’ve made worse mistakes before. I’ve sent messages with typos, autocorrections, and all kinds of miscommunications, yet I rarely react like this. So why was today different? I couldn’t help but feel like this little blip, this harmless, absurd typo, was now the focal point of my day. It was funny, sure, but it was also a perfect example of how something so insignificant can really throw us off course.

‎I ended up sending a follow-up message, explaining the autocorrect error, but by then, the damage had been done. My mood had shifted. I couldn’t help but laugh at how ridiculous it all was, even though the lady replied that she understood yet it still affected me far more than it should have.

‎In the end, the day went on, and I moved past it, but it made me realize how often we let trivial, tiny, unserious things affect our mood. I guess the key takeaway here is that it's all about perspective. Something as silly as a phone autocorrect isn’t worth stressing over. But in the moment, it sure felt like it was.

Thanks for stopping by on my blog and have a wonderful day

A few of things i will be honest that is frustraiting me, firstly auto correct your thing winds me up sometimes it replaces words that don't even make sense.

Occassionally it is funny but if your sending professional text makes us look like retards, sorry i know some people don't like that word but i mean it in a light way.

Second i have been struggling on Hive lately last two days where i use keychain to make a transaction or to confirm an action and have to do it 3-4 times before success.

Third is when i am typing and my keyboard will leave the odd letter out.

Now this could be cause i am a retard sometimes but that is not the point 🤣 it is annoying, ordering a new keyboard as i type.

OK i could go on but i think being frustrated is very human.

Have the best one
@twicejoy i love the night too 😎

This is very honestly expressed and relatable man. Little tech issues can be vErysurprisingly frustrating, when they interrupt communication or workflow. I also like how you acknowledged that frustration is a very human nature and even added humor to it. Thanks for sharing this openly and it reminds us that we’re not alone in these day to day struggles.
