Transplanting My Scotch Bonnet Pepper Into a Recycling Pipe: A New Chapter for Growth
Hi Hivers ♥️

Gardening is a journey that have to do with patience, a bit of trial and error and learning new things. Growing my very own food by myself is one of the most exciting part of gardening for me and that's what leads me to grow my own scotch bonnet pepper to see what the outcome will be as I couldn't wait to have these little fiery peppers at my fingertips and spice to my meal being a fan of bold flavors.
After waiting for sometime waiting for scotch bonnet pepper to yield while preparing a space for transplanting, then today I finally transplanted my scotch bonnet peppers into a unique new home, a recycled pipe.

The growth of my scotch bonnet started a months ago when I first planted those tiny seeds, watered and nurtured them through their early stages and keeping them in a sunny area while looking over as the seedlings gradually grew into young plants. As they keep on growing, I noticed that their original pots is not enough for them, so I decided it was time for a transplant.

Though, as the scotch bonnet pepper continue to grow bigger, I find it so hard to get a suitable container since I don't have enough space in my new house. Then I remembered a pile of unused recycling pipes at backyard of my landlord. These cylindrical and long pipes now looks like the perfect solution as they were large enough to contain the growing roots, provide good drainage which is very crucial for pepper plants.
Before transplanting, I have already, mixed together loamy soil with broiler feces and watered it in to the recycled pipe to make sure the needed nutrients necessary for growth is available. The transplanting process took me a bit of patience because I wanted to avoid damaging the room system as I carefully removed my scotch bonnet pepper seedlings from their old plastic pots gently untangling the roots into the recycled pipe which I gave it good watering and placed it in a sunny spot.
I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride watching my scotch bonnet pepper settling into its new home. The idea of utilizing and finding purpose for something that would have otherwise been thrown out into a functional and eco-friendly planter just felt good and I hope this would lead to better growth.
Now, I wait and hope that the transplant will breath new life to my plant and continue to thrive and produce those spicy peppers.
Now, I wait.
This transplant marks a new beginning for my scotch bonnet pepper and while I'm hopeful for a positive outcome, I know that just how life is full of different surprise then is gardening also. Whether it faces challenges or thrives, I will continue to nurture it and learn along the way. Looking forward to positive growth, both in the garden and in life!
