Ahhhh! It's that time of the year again! When everyone gets to shitpost about their new year resolutions, wooohooo!
Now... Let's see... 2023 was a relatively good year. I mean... I did survive, and that's a big win!
So, what would I like to achieve next year that I already haven't?
Let's start with health stuff. Well, the past year I increased my activity levels and daily exercise, and continue to do so with some ups and downs. I have also been taking cold showers this winter..Are they beneficial? Well, let's just say I feel I am a 20 year old again when it comes to libido so they definitely do something... Oh, and last year I reduced my alcohol consumption by at least 90%. Anyways, I guess as I approach my fourth decade in life I must finally start eating better if I don't want to die from heart attack in my 50s. So all that is left now is to cut down on silly carbs like chocolate 😄
When it comes to crypto in general, I am doing better then I ever imagined. Sure, not megarich but more then enough enough to sleep at night at peace. No new goals here other continue doing what I am. Same with regular old cash.
Hive-wise, I am also doing better then ever so the plan is to just keep it up. At this pace, I will easily have over 50k hp by the end of 2024, which again is way more then I ever expected! Funny how when I first joined I dreamt of getting to 500 steem power... Time flies! I just wish hive keeps it up too, the future feels a bit bleak to be honest, and watching all those thousands and thousands of hbd flying away to dapps or projects used by a handful of people... Hive is bleeding that's for sure and this is not the best of times to bleed... When it comes to hive-engine I am already a whale to the projects I am interested (or not interested anymore) except one. Pimp by @enginewitty. I am already slowly building my position, currently at about 30k pimp, hopefully I'll reach 100k by the end of 2024.. Or sooner 😉
What else? Oh right, I plan to start a YouTube channel as an experiment in the coming weeks after getting some urgent shit over first. I won't be sharing it here, but I will share my progress. Initially I planned it to be about silver but I had another idea, that requires less time and has more "viral" potential. I finally have the time and the energy for a new side hussle.
Speaking of silver, I want to add at least 150 ounces to the stack. Already have two ounces in order and a deal with a hivian for another 20 oz so we are in a good start for the year. Plus I am getting at least 1 oz from my secret santa one of these days 😄
Another goal is to stop killing so much of my time on YouTube/fb shorts. Damn, that shit is addicting! Even staring at a wall is more productive then that. I am really scared of their effects in the younger generations 😞
Something final. I did manage to improve my sleeping patterns by a lot this year! New mattress, more exercise, the cold showers I talked about before have all seemed to have helped. Still, I am not to the level I want so, that's something else I'll try to work on this year.
And that sums up everything I can think of. Tldr. I did a good job this year, so I'll keep building 😂

I used to do winter swimming like a decade ago, when I was closer to the sea. If your start right from summer all the way to winter it's not that tough but my first year I started straight from December so it's doable if you a bit crazy. Greek climate helps a lot too. Our seas are "warm" all year round. And you get to meet really interesting people 😄

2024 will be interesting for sure. I keep seeing subtle nods to hive bleeding. I just don't get it. It's the only blockchain project I found with a thriving community and working blockchain/dapps. I guess people are more concerned with making money than a functional project.

For me, I'd say it takes a week for the initial shock response to go away and be replaced by just an initial inconvenience. But I always had an affinity for cold, it's probably more for the average Joe. I used to be a winter swimmer as well a decade ago when I used to live closer to the beach :)

Last year(2023) was a fucked up year for me financially and that of course affected everything else.
It is hard to concentrate on life when the finances are bad hehe.
Anyway I need to start taking those cold showers for the libido as you said hahaha.

From the looks of it, you've achieved almost everything anyone could want. I certainly believe that the diet will also be changed. But good to read that things are going so well there.
