🍌💦 Best Movie Ever?! 🍌 💦

Back with another quick piece of trivia! So for you today I have what is possibly the best movie ever!

I haven't seen it yet but damn... the plot just sounds so captivating 😂

The film I am talking about is called Self-Portrait and was released in 1969. Here's the synopsis:

A single 42 minute shot of John Lennon's semi-erect penis.

Spoiler alert. It has a happy ending. Short of:

At the end of Self-Portrait, a drop of semen comes out of Lennon's penis

The movie was made by the artist Yoko Ono who at the time was married with him. It premiered at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London on 10 September 1969 and surprisingly turned to be too unconventional for audiences and was never shown again. I wonder why 😲 🤔

Apparently Yoko Ono planned to secretly record the reactions of the audience and then make another movie or something based on them but that plan failed.

No one enquired about this, but it was later revealed Yoko had installed equipment to film the critics' reaction to John's comings and goings. The audience was to be one half of a split-screen feature: John showing his all, the critics responding to it frame by frame. Fortunately or unfortunately Yoko's apparatus recorded nothing. Sighs of relief all around. Otherwise that Film Critics' Circle might now be part of a permanent installation projected on the wall of Liverpool's John Lennon International Airport

Unfortunately, this artistic turd gem has long been lost although rumors say that miss Yoko still has one copy for her viewing pleasure 🤪
