RE: Resident Evil 2 (PlayStation)

I remember grabbing the long box version at a local Electronics Boutique, bringing it home and playing it. The second, I remember a friend at that EB calling me at my day job (before cell phones were overtly affordable) telling me they had it in, I asked him to set a copy aside for me and I grabbed it on my way home.

I lived about 2 hours out of town at that time so I had a long drive home to think about this game. It was at night too. I had seen videos and such at that EB on a demo kiosk and I followed the development in magazines like Gamefan so I was familiar with the story and scenarios awaiting me.

That was probably the longest drive of my life, other than when I came home from Marine Boot and drove that same route home to see my family again.

Ugh, the memories. I went ahead and cleared my schedule that weekend and played this non stop for an unhealthy amount of time.

I have the remake on Steam but have barely played it as life has been too hectic to sit down and focus on enjoying it. What a series.
