What success means to me

Success means different things to different people. For a lot of people, success means being financially stable. People view success as financial independence.
Having enough money to cater for your basic needs is great. Having enough money to spare is also good. This is probably why it is seen as success.

Money is crucial in our world these days. You need money for almost everything. Everyday, people go out to hustle for money. They dedicate their time, energy, intellect and many more just to get that money. All because they need to be able to provide both for themselves and their loved ones.
Being financially stable makes life easy and smooth, no doubt. The quality of life gets better with more money.

On the other hand, some persons see success in terms of their achievements. To them, success could mean having academic degrees. They see academic achievements as success. This is understandable because almost everyone is proud when they graduate from school, or add another degree to their name.
Still on achievement, there are other achievements some would consider as success. It could be building a business, building a house, or creating something huge.

In my opinion, success can be the little things. It can mean creating music that people resonate with, it could be making art that people love, it could be positively impacting people's lives.
I also believe that a person who is healthy, has happy family and friends by his side, and can cater for himself and his family is successful.

Ultimately, success to me is being able to leave a legacy that people can remember you by. This can be done in many ways. When you leave a legacy, your name lives on even when you're long gone.
One can leave a good legacy by simply helping others in their capacity. This simple act can leave a lasting impact on people. It could be providing education for children, providing water to a village, providing food to people, building infrastructure that benefits the public.
Providing shelter and clothing to those who need is also another way.
In addition, making beautiful music that lifts people up is a way to leave a legacy.

In conclusion, there have been many definitions to success. For most, it's having a lot of money and being financially independent; for others, it's also about achievements whether financial, academic or otherwise. For me, leaving a legacy is also crucial. A person who leaves a lasting positive legacy can be said to be hugely successful.
