My first time using Dswap.trade to buy Colony: A guide on how to go about it

I decided recently to start accumulating Colony, and I set a target of 10,000 colony tokens by the end of the year.

For those who don't know about colony, it is the governance token for arcade colony. You get to earn colony playing the arcade colony games such as Moon Karts. So Colony is earned as rewards, and can also be staked.

I learnt about Dswap.trade recently and I decided to use it for the first time to get colony tokens. I was impressed by the UI and the simplicity of the site. I will be dropping the step by step procedure on how to do buy Colony using dswap.

Step 1: Visit dswap.trade. When the home page opens up, click the top right corner to log in. You can use hive keychain to sign in. Invariably, this means you're signing in with your hive account, and as a result, all of your available tokens and balances will be displayed after signing in.

Step 2: After signing in, click on swap. The next page that appears tells you to select the token you're swapping from. It will also need you to put in the amount of that token you want to swap. You will also have to select the token you are swapping to. The equivalent amount of the token being swapped to will be displayed.

Step 3: In my case, I have some Swap.hive, so that's the token I'm swapping from. I am swapping 0.5 swap.hive for a start. You can see my swap.hive balance displayed.
Next, I selected the token I'm swapping to. In this case, it's Colony. The equivalent amount of colony you would get will be displayed. In my case, it's 357.426 colony.

In that same page, you will see the estimated rate, which again shows you how much Colony you will get for the amount of swap.hive your swapping. The swap settings is also there. By default, it was put at 5% max slippage for me, and I left it the way it is. Next, I clicked on swap.

Step 4: A box will pop up showing Estimated trade details and for you to confirm the swap. Just click on proceed and that's it. Your colony will arrive in your wallet.

It was a really easy experience navigating Dswap to get Colony tokens. I am looking forward to accumulating more colony tokens to reach my target of 10,000 colonies by the end of the year. I might even go beyond that amount. If that happens to be the case, I would be really happy. I guess time will tell. I believe colony is a good store of value and I'm definitely go to keep as much as I can.
