Wrapping Up My Marketing ND Just In Time For 2024 Industry Action

My people, the finish line for this 3-year Marketing National Diploma program journey at Yabatech stays keeping me laser focused! This 2024 will be a year I get to round up the ND programme and then look forward to the next level which is the industrial training session that would last for a year maximum. There will no room left for seniors to drop balls fumbling this close to secure win.

It's gonna be a celebratory vibes event when myself plus classmates who turned more to family officially close our chapter receiving hard-earned diplomas. We all came far facing struggles or wanting to quit at multiple low points. But resilience and vision to master business development, consumer insights, strategic campaign analysis and other skills for the future kept heads locked on prizes.

I still remember way back in 2021 starting classes wide-eyed but also kinda cocky like I already knew everything about “good” advertising and what sells, lol. Three annoying group projects and very humbling midterm Business Communication failure later though, the protein shake girl woke up real quick, Had to eat some humble pie and adopt discipline for covering pages of heavy textbooks daily to catch up.

Some professors showed mad tough love with sky-high standards while others took a patient mentor approach seeing budding potential. Over semesters of writing marketing strategy proposals, charting sales analytics and creating sample product campaigns, knowledge plus wisdom sank deep. My initial know-it-all act faded as broader perspectives from course case studies revealed bigger pictures. Guess growing pains were inevitable!

Now in the final lap, senior year hustle is balancing wrapping required advanced courses like Consumer Behavioral Psychology and Supply Chain Management while directing campus Entrepreneurship Club and applications for high profile graduate trainee programs at elite agencies. I need heavy networking to land interviews at top tier corporations that’ll skyrocket career faster than smaller branches.

But just as valuable as any job offer will be completing this marketing knowledge journey! Come graduation day when I shake Vice Chancellor’s hand accepting degree, the sense of pride as first in family earning this honor will overwhelm amazingly. Given the setbacks we faced or looking around at counterparts who dropped out sacrificing sleep, relationships and fun just won’t feel real.

Yet here we stand together persistent visionaries. My classmates already promised we celebrating all month later.
No doubts our marathon to the finish line will inspire siblings, cousins and others in the community realizing their power pursuing big dreams too.

With grad caps decorated and early job offers already making the final decision tough, all that’s left is getting a framed diploma in hand and manifesting destiny. No time for future executives to waste ,our industries craving fresh multi-dimensional thinkers await impatiently.

With graduation wrapping up this December, Phase One of my marketing education journey reaches a pivotal milestone. Though the celebration and sense of pride for earning this National Diploma will feel so sweet after 3 years of lectures and exams, I’m equally focused on what comes next.

The mandatory one-year supervised internship at an accredited marketing company starts early 2024! I’m hard at work now applying to exciting firms across Lagos to ensure placement aligned with my skills and interests. My top choices? Media advertising agencies with creative campaign teams, talent management groups boosting influencer outreach, or analytics divisions of major consumer brands.

Scoring an internship that exposes me to constantly evolving real world applications is crucial. I hope being fully immersed on dynamic campaigns and high intensity strategy teams during 9 to 5 each day prevents getting rusty just from typical graduate courses. No dull theory textbooks, just tangible impact.

I plan on pouring 110% energy into whichever internship placement happens, determined to prove myself an invaluable team player. That likely means offering to take on extra competitive projects, pulling weekend hours assisting other divisions, or spearheading office culture events to deepen team bonds and mental health.

Proof of adding value from respected company leadership would give me tremendous leverage. Their written endorsement and potential job offer for post-internship full-time career accelerates success and credibility faster than independently grinding years as rookie freelancer.

My sole focus must stay professionally growing as much as humanly possible in that one year window through whichever marketing agency or corporation I land! Making key Allies who later open doors to bigger titles or launch my own funded enterprise matters.

Because Phase Two is waiting around the corner after completion of internship? Returning to Yabatech to begin the Higher National Diploma program and securing my Masters specialization! Remembering the relief of finishing ND exams, I do not take lightly diving back into relentless coursework modules, certification tests and rigorous qualifications rising to next level.

But further expanding my expertise through HND and later graduate degrees ensures no ceiling on income potential, career options down line or business concepts I can bring to reality! I refuse settling for average when aligned hard work and committed vision guarantee extraordinary.

Whether multinational conglomerate or passionate local startup, coming back armed with professional field tenure and higher education concentration makes me a hot commodity.

The vision stays crystal clear, leveling up formal academia then returning sharpened swords to the marketing industry already yielding rewarding opportunities! Let the countdown begin for internship adventures ahead and reaping knowledge at HND phase round two!

You're doing really well ! I'll be interested to see how you do with the internship - there's a huge difference between the exciting business of putting together a marketing strategy and the massive amount of hard, repetitive work required to turn the vision into a reality. But I know you can do it 😀

I know I can do it, I just have to get through to the end of this year and then start looking towards that goal, I am sure it would be a great time for me
Thank you
Happy new year🥳

This is a very big move from you and it all starts from successfully wrapping up this stage of your academic study before taking another step towards internship and the pursuit of HND.

My brother is also having this sort of expectation regarding his certification and induction. He's currently a medical student I'm patiently waiting to hear News of his successful graduation this year.

I wish you all the best in this endeavor. Good Luck 👍
