Not Everyone Is A Loss.

You know how people say that not everyone you lose is a loss? Yeah... I didn’t really understand that line until life decided to teach me in its own hard but peaceful way.

There was a time when losing people use to break me like mad, like, I would sit down and start overthinking every single detail, wondering what I did wrong, how I could have fixed things to be better and why people just suddenly change, okay so i used to think when someone walks away, it means that you weren’t enough or maybe you didn’t try hard enough, But then with time, I have learned that sometimes, people walk away not because you are bad but because their part in your life is done.

I remember one particular friend I had, we were really so close then , like those type of friendships where you talk every day, share secrets, and basically know everything about each other ,then one day, everything just changed, the calls reduced, the chats became one word replies, and before I knew it, we were just strangers, me I tried to reach out, but it felt like I was forcing what had already expired and that's something I hate, so at first, I was hurt deeply, but later, when I looked back, I realized that period of silence was one of the most peaceful times I have ever had.

It made me realize that peace of mind is something you can’t trade for any relationship, no matter how close, some people carry chaos, and when they leave, you start to breathe better, It is like a load has been lifted off your shoulders that you didn’t even realize was there.

The truth is, not everyone is meant to stay till the end, some people are only meant to walk with you through a certain season of your life , to teach you something, to help you grow, or even to prepare you for something bigger , but when their role is done, life then just naturally pushes them out of your path, And if you are too attached, you will think that it is punishment, but in reality, it is just protection.

Also I have also noticed that sometimes, God allows people to leave because He knows things we don’t, Maybe that person you are there crying over could have brought you down later, or maybe their energy was never aligned with where you are going, we just don’t see it in the moment.

These days, I have learned to let people go with peace in my heart, see no kind of hard feelings, no grudges, just understanding that some goodbyes are necessary, of course, it still hurts sometimes, especially when it is someone you genuinely cared about, but instead of trying to hold on, I remind myself that peace is better than presence.

And funny enough, when some people leave, better ones come in people who understand you more, who appreciate you without you having to explain yourself all the time, People who bring calm, not confusion, that is when you truly realize that what you lost was never meant to stay.

So yeah, not everyone you lose is a loss. Some are lessons, some are blessings, and some are simply exits to make space for better people or better versions of yourself, I have stopped chasing those who left and started appreciating those who stayed and honestly, life feels more lighter that way.

At the end of the day, yes I have learned that losing people isn’t always a bad thing, it is sometimes, life’s quiet way of saying, “You deserve peace.”

That's life! It always has a way of reshuffling people around us making sure that the void we felt was left by the previous person gets filled up sooner than we expected even

The realization and acceptance that someone's role in your life is over is definitely one of the greatest gift we can ever ask

It doesn't mean we are weak or that we don't care, it just means that we've accepted life as it is and knows that not everything can be changed by physical strength
