(Splitting Keycaps) Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun - Words of Vengeance
Ah yes, these Warhammer games do keep coming out in plenty. I apologize if I never got around to playing Spacemarine 2, hopefully one day I come around to it. Now, we got a typing game for your pleasure. There aren't many of these around, which is why I'm talking about it.
Hoping in the near future I'll get Boltgun, but this typing demo kind of convinced me if the sequel has a different mode that functions as an on-rails typing mini-game, oh yeah I'll definitely flex that lexicon really hard on my chud friends. Sadly, will not fix my economic situation enough to buy those figurines, and I too am jealous of my friend's collectibles.

It's ok if you have blisters, especially if your keyboard is giving you difficulties. But you'll have to live the rest of your life knowing you never tried fighting harder in his lord's name. Just like me in a way, this recession ruined my keyboard hobbies, I deal with double typing.
Part of what makes this on-rail psyched up about is from the start, you have no cutscenes or story, you know what you're in for. Immediately hitting you with the first word, and it's not something you're used to. Maybe engaging in social media lingo all the time has made you soft. You need some tough love, either eradicate them quick, or suffer under their scorge.
Plenty of the unholy, wretched pestilence lays ahead, and they even brought the traitor legionnaires with them. Purge them all, as you scramble to type in the most linguistically sophisticated phrasing, hone to your keyboard typing skills, and lay waste to the unclean.
As your emperor wills it, you carry the strength to deal with a litany of enemies from infantries, goblins, slashers, and the big boys who need to be outmaneuvered by your specific skills. Sustain by surviving without losing your health, there will be healing pick-ups, but most of all, maintain your contempt to feed your onslaught. Actually, I have no idea what the last one's for.
Right, out with the silly LARPing, it's straight to the point on-rails, with a lot of great presentation going for it. The music, the sound design, onscreen violence, takes me back to playing Typing of the Dead: Overkill. Unfortunately, we're a decade past that, and for a novelty, this kind of comes short in a way. I already have all kinds of ideas flowing, and even being aware it's a demo, comes off short due to lack of anxiety driving encounters.

Ah yes, I love it when an easter egg tells you a famous Hollywood actor is promoting himself for the sequel game. Actually, I tried replaying this level, and for some weird reason, the score got even lower. But my timing was better, and so was WPM.
That's just wrong, even for a throwaway demo, and I wish I could have fought more Nurglings, Ping Horrors, heck, maybe throw new ones coming in the sequel, but I guess all the ones I eliminated are in this list. Sometimes even certain keys don't register well, and I thought it was my KB.
But hey, if anyone in Auroch Digital is listening, I would seriously love it if you made this mode a reality. Like, add different challenges, more enemy varieties, killing moves, you have so much inspiration to take from early arcade rail shooters. This will sell your next game, I kid you not.
I actually did have fun playing the demo, it was borderline chaotic and visceral, even with the low quality art style. It's super short, like not even an hour, but you're welcome to give the difficult options a try. Looking forward to playing Boltgun 2 after this.
