Well, well, well, looks like the fight never really ends does it? The triple scourge of intergalactic threats have continued to push themselves against the domiciles of our great citizens. But now it seems they've reached the homeland, what can we do?

Yeah, I can't give you that exact answer. I pretty much missed out on the Illuminates invading Super Earth. But it doesn't seem like it is considered safe anymore from anything, even the Termites got inside. Hell, I bet the Automatons are next. The Meridian Singularity did its job, bringing the next phase of grounded combat. With new additions, weapons balancing, and more chaos.

I can't believe it's been almost half a year since I played this game, I'm overjoyed. We're going to have 3 times the fun, twice the grinding and the death toll to achieve our goals.

Most missions are played in Impossible difficulty

The battle is won, but the war is far, far from over. The last battle of the Illuminate invasion devastated our home, with many of the cities left to be rebuilt, civilization and humanity will go on for another day. We're, however, only warming up for the worst to come.

The assault has left a gaping hole in Super Earth's defenses, we went from Independence Day to threats not even the EDF could imagine dealing with. The Terminids are turning our citizens and their protectors into bug food. Say goodbye to those Requisitions as every casualty got in our way.

Our new war is veered towards nihilism, endless death and destruction. The fires of the enemies have clouded the skies, taken away our vision to see clearly through, our technology can only keep up so far. Where's our artillery, support? We're on our own, even the Automatons are laughing at us, as they launch their armada in droves. Impossible difficulty? More like Death Sentence.

Enemy armor is stronger, but we've managed to procure something better. Weapon upgrades, yes, those Requisitions are now putting to good use. If you can't make with the grind, just turn the difficulty down a bit. If you're looking to farm samples, sadly have to do the same.

Stratagem dispatching needs to be quicker, your spatial awareness needs to be better, you have to move in with the right equipment, make no mistakes as the Terminids were killing us simply because our heavy armor made it difficult to run away. Some of these guns, including my favorite, the Scorcher is a great medium armor threat, especially for the bots.

Every mission is like an Omaha Beach invasion. Teams of two, working their best is mostly possible to finish our goals. Though I'd always advise the other group to stay a bit closer, in case, things go out of hand. Thank god for Eagle Strikes, I can triple drop em now.

We've had clumsy deaths, and sometimes we were so overrun, only some of us, including yours truly here, made it to the extraction. I get it, you get the jitters when the situation is really out of our control. I've also realized I need to get a new keyboard, mine has switch issues now, and this economy isn't helping. But damn it to hell, I'm prepared for the worst.

  • We're going to need bigger guns

Isn't this nice? Having multiple options, and you don't have to spend for all of them. Grinding for modules and unlocking stratagems is one thing, but now we have to push to unlock each specific extension for your favorite guns. This, of course, applies only to the primary and secondary.

As mentioned, there are new stuff added. During the invasion, you also had NPCs shooting back at the invaders. These are SEAF troops, if you use the 'Follow Me' ping, they'll run with you anywhere you go. Just remember, their lives are at your hands, no funny business, and you'll probably won't see them right after the extraction. Unless that one idiot in the team kills them off.

Room for error is low, so I guess I have to look for a friend I can rely on to continuously get these missions done right. Hell, I've gotten mostly either half rewards or lost the missions getting blown up. But if you thought this was hell, wait till you do the Illuminate missions. SWEET LIBERTY, THIS IS WHAT THE SEVENTH STAGE OF HELL LOOKS LIKE.

My first Impossible mission got me absolutely blown over, so I dialed back and what I saw has shook me. The Illuminates are now scarier, those voteless have merged into giant blobs that take a crapton of munition to kill. Overseers can now launch artillery from distance, and they have air units that do a full show of force. Including airstrikes that push us back hard.

This was the new frontier, and we were almost outmatched. Not only that, but our Supercitizens are paying the price for this new monstrosity. But it's all in a day's work, who wants to live forever?

This game is like the evolution of Battlefront in a different context. I've been dying to play it. But unfortunately, it's not available in my region. It's commendable. I always enjoy watching the gameplay.

If it's one game I need to revisit it's this one. I played it for like 60 hours when it released but haven't touched it since. Looks like they added a lot of cool stuff since then.
