(ENG-ESP) Exploring the Truchilandia Farm - Explorando la Finca Truchilandia

Hello, dear community of world travelers, this time I want to share an adventure that my friend Cesar Garzón and I had the opportunity to enjoy. Just over an hour from the city of Cali, in the La Leonera district, it's the Truchilandia farm, located in the Farallones mountains of Cali. We visited this beautiful place, full of animals, nature, and ecological learning. Below, I'll tell you a little about this lovely place.

Hola querida comunidad de viajeros por el mundo, en esta ocasión quiero compartir una aventura que junto a mi amigo Cesar Garzón tuvimos la oportunidad de disfrutar. A un poco mas de una hora de la ciudad de Cali, en el corregimiento La Leonera. Se trata de la finca Truchilandia, ubicada en las montañas de los farallones de Cali. Conocimos este hermoso lugar, lleno de animales, naturaleza y aprendizaje ecológico. A continuación les contare un poco de este lindo lugar.

Truchilandia is a farm with beautiful trails, trout fishing lakes, ecological hikes, and much more. Located in the La Leonera district in the El Pato area, you're welcome to learn a little more about this project dedicated to nature and biodiversity.

Truchilandia es una finca con hermosos senderos, lagos de pesca de truchas, caminatas ecológicas y mucho mas por ofrecer. Esta ubicado en el corregimiento La Leonera en la vereda el Pato, sean bienvenidos a conocer un poco mas de este proyecto en pro de la naturaleza y la biodiversidad.

This spring is a privilege, one of the places with the largest hydrographic sources in the country and the world, with pure, crystalline spring water, making this place a suitable meeting point for all the biodiversity of fauna and flora offered by the Farallones de Cali mountains.

Este nacimiento de agua, es un privilegio, uno de los lugares con mayores fuentes hidrográficas del país y del mundo, con un agua de manantial pura y cristalina, lo que hace de este lugar un punto de reunión adecuado para toda la biodiversidad de fauna y flora que nos ofrecen las montañas de los Farallones de Cali.

We were fortunate to have a wonderful social and ecological learning experience at Truchilandia, a beautiful farm dedicated to trout farming, organizing outings and hikes, and providing wonderful educational work that seeks to teach young people and children about the importance of caring for the environment and nature.

Tuvimos la fortuna de vivir una gran experiencia de aprendizaje social y ecológico, en Truchilandia, una hermosa finca que se dedica a cultivar truchas, organizar paseos y caminatas, y con una labor pedagógica muy linda que busca enseñar a los jóvenes y niños sobre la importancia del cuidado del medio ambiente y de la naturaleza.

Orchids are one of the most incredible plants in the world. They are epiphytes, meaning they use their host as support, but they are not parasites. They have been studied by biologists due to their symbiotic relationship, which benefits both species. The tree on which they grow benefits from shade and moisture, and our beautiful friend thus finds a suitable place to thrive.

Las orquídeas son unas de las plantas mas increíbles del mundo, son epifitas, es decir usan a su huésped como sostén, pero no son parasitas. Han sido estudiadas por biólogos debido a su relación simbiótica que beneficia a las dos especies. El árbol en el que se soporta se ve beneficiado con sombra y humedad y nuestra hermosa amiga encuentra así un lugar apropiado para el desarrollo de su vida.
