Remember Your Journey

Life is a journey, and in that journey, it is very important for us to remember three things: where we are coming from, where we are now, and where we are going. These are not just directions or points on a map; they are reminders of our story, our struggles, our victories, and the people who have helped us along the way. Every success we achieve is rarely the result of our efforts alone. There are always hands that lift us, guide us, and open doors for us that we could not have opened by ourselves. To forget this is to forget humility, gratitude, and the very human connections that make life meaningful.

When we pause to reflect on where we have been, we are reminded of the challenges we have faced. These challenges may have come in the form of difficult circumstances, personal struggles, or the lessons we learned from failure. They shape our character and prepare us for the responsibilities we are given. When we acknowledge this, we also remember the people who played a role in our journey, the mentors, friends, family, and even strangers whose kindness supported us at critical moments. Recognising them is not just a gesture of politeness; it is a way to honour the truth that no one reaches great heights entirely alone.

Equally important is understanding where we are now. Life is unpredictable, and positions of comfort, respect, or influence are never permanent. Just because we are in a good place today does not mean it will last forever. This awareness should guide us to act responsibly, live with integrity, and serve others genuinely. Whether it is in our family, workplace, or community, the way we use our current opportunities matters. We should never allow pride, arrogance, or selfishness to cloud our judgment. True success is measured not just by what we achieve but by how we handle what we are entrusted with.

Looking forward, where we are going should remind us that life is a continuous journey of growth and contribution. Our choices today will shape our future and the legacy we leave behind. Being intentional about our actions, making ourselves available to help others, and showing through our deeds that we can rise responsibly are all ways to ensure our journey remains meaningful. Life is not a bed of roses, and it often tests our patience, honesty, and resilience. But if we stay true to our values and remember the people who helped us along the way, we can climb without oppressing others or compromising our integrity.

Unfortunately, many leaders and people in positions of power forget this lesson. They pretend, manipulate, or stoop low to achieve personal gain, forgetting that true leadership and respect come from service, humility, and fairness. Observing such behaviour reminds us why it is so vital to stay grounded, remain grateful, and act wisely in our own lives.

Sometimes I wonder how comfortable these leaders are possessing the attitude of lies, manipulation, pretense and lot's more, thinking as if the public are so dumb, it is just that the ones in power are of a typical oppressor than leaders. @toluwanispecial

It is well with us in Africans. Most of the leader we have are selfish and doesn't really care for us.
