Love is beautiful
Love is a beautiful feeling that can make the whole world feel small and calm. When you are in love, it feels as if nothing else matters. The air smells different, the days seem brighter, and every heartbeat carries the thought of that special person. Love makes you feel that the universe has stopped just for the two of you. You and your partner become one team, facing life together. It’s a bond that makes everything else fade into the background.
I used to believe that love was like a fairy tale full of endless laughter, butterflies, and perfection. But as I grew older, I learned that love is more than sweet words and romantic moments. It is sacrifice, understanding, and patience. You can’t love without giving something up, your time, your comfort, sometimes even your pride. Love tests you in ways you can’t imagine, but it also rewards you with peace when it’s true and mutual.
I remember back in my school days, I once liked a boy so much that I skipped lunch just to save money to buy airtime so I could call him. Hearing his voice made me forget hunger, at least for that moment. But when night came and my stomach reminded me that I hadn’t eaten, I laughed at myself. That was how deeply love could make one act foolishly. Funny enough, he never even said yes to me. I cried then, but looking back now, I smiled because that innocent version of love taught me how strong emotions could be.

Love in today’s world seems to have changed. People often talk more about compatibility, status, and what they can gain. Many relationships now are built on benefits rather than genuine affection. That’s why divorce cases and broken homes are so common. Some people don’t want to fight for love anymore; once challenges arise, they give up. True love still exists, but it’s no longer as common as it used to be. It now takes maturity and honesty to build something lasting.
I am grateful that I found my own kind of true love. My husband is not perfect, and neither am I, but we have learned to grow together. We understand that love is not always about smiles and sweet words. It’s about standing by each other even when the world seems against us. It’s about forgiveness, communication, and respect. We may argue, but we never forget that we are on the same team.
Love is not blind; it sees the flaws but chooses to care anyway. It is not about perfection but connection. So yes, love still exists. It just needs people who believe in it beyond material things. Love remains the most beautiful gift when you find the right person. I can boldly say that I am happily married and still believe that true love, though rare, is real when two hearts choose to stay committed through everything life throws at them.
