Life’s Mystery: Between Miracles and the Unexplainable
Life is full of mysteries. There are moments that leave us speechless, situations that make us question everything we thought we understood. One day, everything seems normal, and the next, something happens that shakes us to the core. We hear stories that we can’t fully explain, like the recent crash of an Indian airline heading to London, where almost 300 people lost their lives. Yet, one man survived. Just one. Even his own brother didn’t make it. How can anyone explain that?
Some call it luck. Others say it’s fate. But many, like myself, believe it’s a miracle. It’s not something that science or logic can explain. Why him? Why not the others? These are questions that may never have answers. But they point us to a deep truth: we do not have control over everything in life.
The truth is, as humans, we like to think we have power over everything, our careers, our health, our future. But in reality, there are things far beyond our reach. We don’t decide when we are born, and we certainly don’t choose when or how we die. Life and death are not in our hands. Sometimes, the difference between being alive and being gone is just a matter of seconds or inches.
That lone survivor must be carrying so much pain, the loss of his brother, the memories of the crash, the guilt of being the only one to make it. That kind of experience changes a person forever. He might ask himself every day why he was spared. And maybe he won’t find the answer now, or even years from now. But perhaps, just maybe, there’s a purpose behind it. Maybe his life was spared for a reason, something only a higher power knows.
Whether people believe in God or not, situations like this make many pause and reflect. There’s something, or someone, greater than us. A Supreme Being who sees what we can not see and knows what we will never understand. Not everyone accepts this, but that doesn’t change the fact that life has a spiritual side that can’t be denied.
At the end of the day, life is both beautiful and unpredictable. It gives no warning. We must learn to cherish every day, love our people, and live with purpose. Because we never know which moment might be our last. And if, by some miracle, we’re given a second chance, like the survivor of that crash, we should live it with intention.
Life is a gift, even with all its mystery. And sometimes, the only thing we can do is be grateful for each new day and trust that, even in the chaos, there is meaning beyond what we can see.
