A stylish Kaftan gown with pocket embellished with stones

Cutting Procedures

Step 1. The fabric was folded into two, and the front piece was measured and cut out.
Placing the front piece on another folded fabric, the measurements for the back piece were taken leaving the zip allowance.
Placing the fabrics on each other, the tape was placed at the edge of the fabric to measure the neckline which is a short V- V-neckline for the front piece and a round neckline for the back piece.
The burst measurement was marked as well. The waist and hip measurement was marked and cut out
The fabric is free from the hip to the down part.

Step 2: As a kaftan dress, the blue duchess for interfacing was measured and cut out to fit into the neckline area up to the chest.

Step 3: The pocket was measured and cut out to give it comfortable wear for the owner.
The two pieces of fabric were cut out to serve as the pockets which shall be placed at each side of the hip.

Step 4: The desired sleeve length was measured and cut out plus the blue duchess that will serve as a tape at the hem of the sleeve.

Sewing Procedures
Step 1: The sides of the front piece were joined to the back piece from the shoulder.

Step 2:Bias was used to tape the back piece to give it a neat finish at the neckline area.

Step 3: The stylish blue duchess cut-out was stitched neatly at the neckline down to the chest area bringing out the shape

Step 4: After fixing the two side pockets at the hip area, the rest of the sides were stitched to the end.

Step 5: The blue duchess was stitched to the hem of the Sleeve that is serving as tape to the sleeve. The two sleeves were joined to the armhole area neatly.

Step 6: the rough edge was hemmed for neat finishing.

Step 7: zipper was fixed to the dress and the back slit was opened and well-ironed.

After the dress was sewn, it was perfectly ironed out and dress stones were ironed on it to give the dress a shining blink.

The dress can be worn on different occasions..
