BeeSwap Is Gone
Bye, bye?
If you haven't used BeeSwap, you missed out on the best DeFi App when it comes to UX and easy of use on Hive. I have used it for years and come to rely on it. There were some first problems around a half a year ago when the Swap.Hive >>> Hive conversions failed. Fortunately it was fixed after some time, although I heard that others may have had their funds stuck. A short while after that the conversion function was taken offline, but it was still useful for swapping the Hive tokens.
Unfortunately for around a week or so the front end is now completely offline.

The offical account hasn't shown much activity as well. And then there is this post on Waivio that seems to seal the deal:

Cracks Are Starting To Form?
Now the main issue I am having besides a great Dapp leaving Hive is that I have a bit of PTSD from the whole Koinos fiasco. I witnessed a whole project from birth to death over a span of several years and it was just awful seeing everything going downhill after some promising work. Without going into detail, I essentially saw the same thing happen over there: Dapps going offline one by one - there wasn't any exact point in time where the project failed or was "dead", but it just kept shutting down more and more.
I am seeing a bit of a similar development on Hive as well. BeeSwap, Dcity, Arcade Colony (hanging on by a thread I believe), Dapplr, hiverrr, reverio, veews, superhive, dpoll... all are gone. In fact, I was just surprised just how many Dapps have gone offline by browsing through my bookmarks. Whelp!
While the whole crypto market is bleeding and essentially all projects are struggling, I think for the first time there is real concern that Hive could just continue going downhill from here. If more Dapps shut down and price does not recover we are at the same point of critical failure that other projects were in just before they became completely meaningless.
I really think we can only expect a turn around should the market sentiment turn positive again. While that is possible, I wonder what could trigger such a shift. Especially for Alts, it seems that steam has been running out. All of the recent narrative shifts haven't really worked: decentralization, freedom of speech, privacy, defi, RWAs etc. They all seemed to have been just short fads without any real growth, with the exception of BTC perhaps.
Anyway, wish you a great day!
As a general reminder: Please keep in mind that none of this is official investment advice! Crypto trading entails a great deal of risk; never spend money that you can't afford to lose!

BeeSwap has been one of the smoothest and most user-friendly DeFi apps on Hive—but is this just a temporary hiccup, or the beginning of the end?
It is been years since I've used BeeSwap
What do you use instead?
I am using Tribaldex
I visited it one-time, good thing I stick with Hive Engine
I will miss Gerber.
He is a super smart dude so I’m glad I got to interact with him the little bit I did.
He was very blunt but also quite funny sometimes. I really liked his sense of humor.
I think he has moved on to different things he is more passionate about.
Dcity was a lot of fun imo and I’m glad I got to play it when I did.
Yeah, just sad to see talented people leave.
Yea. There is some exciting stuff happening though so I don’t think it will be like Koinos.
Like Beggars is building cool apps.
I was actually going to try and get better at coding myself and see what I can leverage AI to do.
I’m also an avid user of Beeswap. I really like swapping HE tokens using it... the wallet and all its features are quite smooth as well.
I actually thought he deserved funding for the apps he built and runs.
It’s sad to see such a great app go this way.
This is an unfortunate turn of events, but I hope things turn around.
There seems to be decent development and there are many bright spts like the Zypto developments.
yes...
