Hello, travellers... as I often tell you, I love traditional markets. This time, by accident, I actually found a very unique market. It was located approximately one kilometre west of my lodging on Slamet Riyadi Street.

Throughout travelling, I walked approximately ten kilometres every day, and the interesting thing is... I found interesting places that I can share throughout my travelling journal with you. One of them is Triwindu antique market.

TRIWINDU MARKET: ANTICES AND CLOTHES

You must know about the antique items that have accumulated at home, then instead of the items accumulating and becoming a bunch of negative energy, Triwindu market comes as a transaction suggestion for those who want to sell unused but still usable items.

After walking for about 15 minutes, I arrived at Triwindu market, actually I found this place by accident. From the front, Pasar Trwindu really caught my attention. At the front, there were paintings of puppets and some of their characters such as gareng, petruk and semar. They are a group of very entertaining characters in the puppet story which is an original Indonesian tradition.

After walking inside, rows of antique shops spoil the eyes of visitors. There are even some travellers who deliberately go to this market to take aesthetic photos for social media needs. Some of the antique shops that I found were mostly household appliances from kitchen utensils to electronic devices.

There are also home displays in the form of decorative plates, and various statues.

Although there are not many shops in this triwindu market, I think this is a cool place for a short escape. When I walked to the back area, it turned out that this was still part of the triwindu market. However, many shops were still closed. Maybe it's because I came a bit early. The back area is also nice, the houses are still in the old style. It seems to be deliberately made like that to add to the impression that this is indeed an antique area. There is even a cafe that still maintains its old-school model. Relax, even though it looks old-fashioned, the building is still sturdy. Because of course, they renovated it without compromising the originality of the design.

I didn't buy anything here, but I was quite content to get lost in such a nice place. Do you think I was lucky enough to get lost here?

Thanks for reading my travel journal, see you in the next post!

It seems liek this as really the perfect place to get lost for a bit even. So much to see! And although I am not really an antique collector, I really like the idea of stuff having a second life with a new owner..

Cool place!
