Temporary Museum: Finding The Beautiful Concept of Exhibition
The exhibition in this gallery is entitled UNLOCKED & LIMITLESS: PARALLEL METAFORA. The review was written by Muhammad Rahman Athian, as well as an introduction for visitors if they are confused about the context of the exhibition. The point of this exhibition is to highlight diversity and freedom in watercolor art.
This exhibition is divided into three rooms. Downstairs and two rooms on the second floor.
I went around the bottom first, and stopped in front of a painting of a nudist woman. Then stop at a painting titled Borobudur Tempel made by Nanang Widjaya on a 95x145 canvas. In the painting, the famous Borobudur temple is seen crowded with visitors in various colored clothes.
Then there is a painting of three women relaxing wearing traditional clothes such as kemben and sarong titled Menanti Asa by Irwan Widjayanto. There are also many other photos.
After that, I went to the second floor. There the room looks more spacious and there are seats for visitors who might want to take a break. I found a beautiful painting titled; The Legend Of Mount Kelud by Krishna Adityaa Prajg. Where in the painting, there is a picture of a leader riding a giant buffalo and accompanied by his soldiers around. The painting is 56x76.
There is also a beautiful painting with green nuances and a woman as the object. The title is Miracle Dream by Gusti Kadek Widhi Ayu Resining.
Then I also went around to the next room which was narrower and had fewer paintings. After walking around for a while I went to the back of the building and found a mural that I really liked. FRIDA KAAHLO. Ahahaha .. as a feminist figure who is very famous throughout the world, I was also happy because I brought a tote bag with the same picture. I bought this tote bag at the Akik Bookstore and brought it everywhere throughout my trip in Solo and Senarang .. hahaha .. it really looks like I really like it, doesn't it?
I took a picture of my tote bag with the background of the mural of Kahlo holding a cellphone. Hmmm ... it's really odd. Imagine a feminist like Kahlo having a cellphone, or even having a social media account, what do you think Kahlo wanted to say on her social media?
Of course it would be very powerful and inspiring. After the Kahlo mural, I decided to go home because it was getting dark. Thank you for following me on my journey, see you on the next journey.
