SHIN'S PROJECT

It's been a while since I watched a Korean drama with a thriller, legal, or crime genre. This year, there is a similar genre that I think is more interesting. It's about a skilled negotiator who will be the main focus of this drama.

SHIN'S PROJECT

The story begins with a scene of a neighbor in a neighborhood who is about to commit suicide by jumping off the roof of a building. The crowd below, including the building owner, yells at the resident who is about to kill himself. He shouts at him not to commit suicide on his building because it could lower the selling price of his assets.

However, the chaos becomes inevitable. Then a middle-aged man carrying a black plastic bag from a department store arrives. Seeing the crowd, the man immediately observes the situation and takes quick action to save the would-be suicide victim. He is Shin Jay (Han Suk Kyu), an international negotiator from Korea who also sells fried chicken at a local food court.

People around him only knew him as Mr. Kim, the fried chicken seller, but he had extensive connections, including judges and other legal professionals. Shin's calmness began to waver when a judge he knew hired a new judge candidate to work and help solve cases at the fried chicken shop. The handsome and intelligent young man named Cho Philip (Bae Hyun Sung) is initially surprised because he has the highest graduation score, so why is he placed in a fried chicken shop with a rough man named Shin Jay?

However, gradually, he begins to admire the way Shin Jay solves cases with his negotiation skills. Cho Philip learns a lot from his senior at the fried chicken shop.

Another person joined Shin's project. It was Lee Si On (Lee Ree), a young woman full of enthusiasm who had been working with Mr. Shin as a food delivery person in the complex for a long time. The three of them became a colorful but solid team. One by one, they completed their tasks brilliantly.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • SHIN JAY

As a middle-aged man who hides his true skills, Shin Jay manages to appear relaxed, indifferent, and very blunt. However, Shin is a very loving man, especially towards children. Shin Jay is a very clever, cunning, agile, and sympathetic main character. Han Suk Kyu is always good at portraying such characters.

  • CHO PHILIP

As a first-year judge candidate, Philip is a character who, from the beginning, has no doubts but is cautious and assumes the worst. Philip is a quick-witted and fast-learning student and junior. As the only son of a fairly wealthy couple, Philip appears very neat, handsome, and intelligent. Bae Hyun Sung is very refreshing to watch here. Lol.

  • LEE SI ON

As an orphan with a younger sibling and an elderly grandmother, Si On has become tough and was forced to skip the CSAT exam because he was busy working. He has become very diligent and responsible for his family members. However, who would have thought that Si On's participation in Shin's project would lead him to a more meaningful life. He continued his studies, found people who loved him, and also found love.

SUMMARY

I want to recommend this to anyone because this drama is quite underrated even though it is very well-made and entertaining. If you like this genre, Shin's Project is worth watching. That's my review for this time. Thank you for reading. See you in the next review.
