Since before the pandemic, my friends and I in the literary community Dapoer Sastra Tjisaoek have been active in social activities, such as reviving community reading parks. The initial goal of building this reading park was due to the concerns of my senior, Adang Albani. He was concerned that many children in his neighbourhood were growing up without touching books, apart from academic books. In essence, the indication of a reading emergency was clear.

Finally, slowly, we started a reading park called TAMAN BACA PEKA. In addition to reading and literacy activities, the children who visit also get a lot of positive activities, such as: English exercises by Pamulang University students, practice telling stories on stage led by Davina, as well as music and performances led by other friends.

This time, however, our activity was colouring in shapes, guided by Adang Albani and Davina. They, the children, were given a package of toys consisting of: mats to be coloured in different shapes, colour sets, and cotton buds as props.

The children who attended were enthusiastic and happy. Although some of the younger children may have struggled, we adults were quick to help direct them.

After all the colouring was done, all the results were dried in the sun first so that the watercolour would dry quickly. After, that, the children wanted to take pictures with their own work and were allowed to take it home. Not forgetting we joked around and hung out. Besides me, Adang, and Davina, there were also other members of Dapoer Sastra Tjisaoek such as; Kaifin, Dewi Shinta, Andy Lesmana, and some Pamulang University students.
