Road To Amartha Run

In less than three weeks, the Amartha Run event arrived. Initially, I wanted to take a break from racing after this month's Anggrek Jingga KAjen Run. However, this Amartha event is very tempting, especially since the sponsor is Reebook. So, the jersey from this event will be original by Reebok.

Apart from the sponsorship, the price for the 10km class ticket was very affordable. Actually, I got the promo price for the special Independence Day price. So, even though I didn't plan to race, I was tempted to register as soon as possible because the quota for the promo price was very limited.

Back to the issue of the approaching Amartha event time, I also have to be disciplined to regulate the intensity of training to twice a week with a minimum menu of seven kilometres per workout.

So, yesterday afternoon, after Asr prayer, I headed straight to my usual running track, Situ Gintung. The difference is, I took the route in the opposite direction, this is a tactic so that I don't get bored. The track is still quiet, it's a weekday, so the track will start to get crowded after 5.00pm.

There was something unusual about this workout, when I had passed three kilometres, suddenly the wind from the opposite direction blew strongly. So, just imagine running against the wind? Uh! It's hard. My legs became sore, my breathing too. I decided to reduce my speed to 9/km. While reorganising my footsteps, catching my breath and preparing myself, finally after five minutes, I was able to pass through the strong wind and the condition became normal as before.

The sun had started to fade, the wind had calmed down, and I had gained 5 kilometres at 37.00. this was two minutes later than usual. Maybe it was the wind.

Anyway, it's my second day of menstruation, luckily I've been eating well. I kept myself hydrated enough so that my training finished pleasantly. I managed to complete 7.12kilometres in 53.59 minutes with a pace of 7.35/km. After cooling down, I relaxed for a while enjoying the breeze by the lake. I took off my shoes and found that the bottom soles of my shoes had started to wear out. OMG!

My shoes had accompanied me for about 195 kilometres. They were very comfortable on my feet and I was grateful that I chose them for training.
